Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene Kiniski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Bell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gene Kiniski! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiniski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kiniski is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Kiniski stands and throws Bell's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kiniski laying and praying for a moment but Bell takes advantage and regains half guard. Bell won't allow Kiniski to pass to mount. Bell looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kiniski passes into side control, despite Bell's attempt to control the position.
Kiniski lands an elbow.
It looks like Carl Bell has been cut. Kiniski tries for a kimura but Bell is defending well. Bell is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kiniski asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell sneaks back into half guard. Kiniski throwing shots but Bell is blocking nicely. Kiniski missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kiniski is working for a submission of some sort.
Bell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kiniski working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bell tries to kick Kiniski off but Kiniski keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kiniski is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Kiniski is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bell is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gene Kiniski!
