Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dexan Donk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jan Nowak! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Donk fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nowak. Donk looks for the body kick but Nowak saw that one coming. Donk jabbing away but nothing is landing. Donk with a nice cross.
It looks like Jan Nowak has been cut. Nowak gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Nowak moves in looking to clinch but Donk pushes him off. Nowak showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Donk.
Donk has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nowak finds it's way round the side to connect with Donk's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Some wild striking there from Donk.
Nowak is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nowak scores with a hook to the body. Donk takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Nowak has closed the distance and engaged Donk in a clinch.
Nowak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Donk tries to move into range but Nowak moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. The fight moves into the clinch position. Donk misses with an elbow over the top. Nowak wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. Donk is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Nowak lands with a light punch inside. Nowak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nowak throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Donk. Nowak takes a swing at Donk's ribcage but misses. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Donk. Nowak takes one to the side of the head.
Nowak lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nowak. Nowak gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Donk throws the kick towards the body but Nowak avoids it. Donk throws a head kick that misses. Jan Nowak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Donk throws a series of strikes that have Nowak backpedaling.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Donk thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Nowak if he has to take too many more of those.
Nowak looks gassed! Nowak throws a hook but Donk avoids it easily. Donk misses with a double jab.
Donk lands with a nice body kick. Donk instigates a clinch. Nowak pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Donk lands a right hand that snaps the head of Nowak backwards.
That has opened up Jan Nowak's cut even more. Nowak takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Donk throws an elbow that misses.

Donk will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nowak up against the ropes. Donk looking to slow down the pace here. Donk working some nice short punches in the clinch. Nowak gets underhooks to prevent Donk's takedown attempt.

Donk keeps control of Nowak as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Nowak tries to circle away but Donk has him pinned against the ropes. Donk putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Nowak in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Donk. The referee is keeping an eye on Donk - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Nowak blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Still in the clinch, Nowak scores with a nice short uppercut. With the fighters up against the ropes, Donk throws an elbow but misses. Donk lands an elbow inside. Nowak breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Donk has a takedown stuffed. Donk lands a jab to the head.
The cut above Jan Nowak's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nowak misses with a hook. Donk ducked under it nicely. Donk lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

The fight stays on the outside here - Nowak looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nowak on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jan Nowak's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Donk drops Nowak with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nowak looks back up at him and smiles so Donk waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Nowak is rocked!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jan Nowak's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dexan Donk!
