Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denny Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Su Mo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crane comes into the arena with TOUCHED blaring out of the sound system. Denny Crane has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Denny Crane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Su Mo! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Crane gets back to full guard.
Crane has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mo off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Crane gets a clinch. Crane tries to land a knee to the head but Mo blocks with his arms.
Mo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Crane is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Crane is trying to trip Mo. He has hold of a leg but Mo is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Crane persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Mo pulls Crane in close to prevent any damage. Crane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mo looking for a sweep. Not yet Mo, not yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mo can do anything to dispel that myth. Mo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Crane with a flurry of punches that miss. Mo pulls Crane in close to his closed guard and prevents Crane from doing any damage or advancing position. Crane decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mo, up you get! A combination from Crane does no damage. Mo checks a leg kick nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Crane wants to clinch up but Mo keeps it at a distance. Crane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mo. Mo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Crane manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Mo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Crane's head. Crane looking for a guillotine here but Mo defends easily.
Mo thows a big elbow that misses. Mo lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mo wants to control from the top but Crane keeps moving. Mo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Crane's head. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mo lands a couple of elbows. Crane has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mo stands up and waves to Crane to follow him. Mo keeps the fight on the outside. Mo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Mo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Crane has hold of Mo's hands but Mo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crane is pressing down on Mo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Crane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mo defends it easily. Crane is breathing heavily. Mo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mo with a flurry of punches that miss. Mo with a nice head shot there. Mo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Crane has a closed guard, preventing Mo from standing up. Mo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mo chips away with some ground and pound. Mo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Crane throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Crane has a closed guard, preventing Mo from standing up. Crane is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mo looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Su Mo dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Crane looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Crane forces Mo back against the cage and clinches. Crane looking to throw knees to the head but Mo is blocking nicely.
Crane has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Mo pulls guard successfully.

Mo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Crane. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crane throwing strikes from guard but Mo blocks nicely. Mo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crane is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mo is pulling down on Crane's head. It's preventing any offense from Crane, at least for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Crane being controlled here momentarily.

Mo keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Crane missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Crane sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mo defending well though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Crane wants to work for an arm triangle but Mo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Crane wants to pass the guard but Mo is defending well. Crane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mo is trying to control but can't.
Mo is looking to improve his position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Crane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mo to the mat! Mo manages to get full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Denny Crane will probably get the nod. That's time! Crane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Mo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crane is fending him off so far but Mo persists. Nope, Crane circles away and we're back to standing. Crane with a lazy takedown attempt and Mo counters with a single leg into guard. Crane didn't expect that. Mo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Mo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crane works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Mo trying to control but Crane is working from the bottom. Mo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mo advances to half guard. Crane is looking for a sweep. Mo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Crane throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Mo winds up and cracks Crane with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Mo working Crane over with strikes. Mo slips a nice elbow through Crane's hands, connecting with Crane's forehead. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mo missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Crane on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Crane actively working from the bottom here. Crane manages to get to full guard.
Mo lands a couple of elbows. Crane has momentary wrist control but Mo slips an elbow through the middle. Su Mo has got the better of the ground game so far. Mo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Crane avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Crane's head. Crane is looking to stand up but Mo isn't so interested in that idea.

Mo doesn't defend quickly enough and Crane has managed to lock this one up! Can Mo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Crane on a fantastic submission victory.
