Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Backstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Backstrom comes to the cage accompanied by Let the bodies hit the floor. Ben Franklin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin moves in looking to clinch but Backstrom pushes him off.
Backstrom looks to land a combination but Franklin avoids it well.
Backstrom stuffs the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Franklin or perhaps it was just good defense by Backstrom which made him look bad.
Franklin has a takedown stuffed.
David Backstrom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Franklin.
Backstrom tries to clinch
and Franklin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Backstrom pulls Franklin into guard.
Backstrom wants to sweep but no luck.
Backstrom throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Backstrom is looking to sinch up a triangle. Franklin throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Backstrom's body to avoid the submission. Backstrom has instead reached around Franklin's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Backstrom arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
