Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Speedy Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vern Troyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Speedy Gonzalez! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Vern Troyer! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Troyer tries to clinch but Gonzalez is having none of it. Gonzalez clinches up against the cage. Troyer wants a takedown.
Gonzalez misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gonzalez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Troyer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Troyer leaves Gonzalez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Troyer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gonzalez is looking to stand back up but Troyer counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gonzalez. Gonzalez is breathing heavily. Gonzalez trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Troyer is keen to just control but Gonzalez is a slippery customer. Gonzalez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Troyer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Troyer's back! Gonzalez is trying to stick to Troyer's back but Troyer is turning into Gonzalez. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gonzalez's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Troyer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Troyer looking to sit in guard and control but Gonzalez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gonzalez trying to control but Troyer is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Troyer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Troyer can't keep his opponent in guard - Gonzalez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gonzalez wants to control but Troyer is keeping him busy. Gonzalez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Troyer wants to control but Gonzalez is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gonzalez landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Troyer controlling the position well. Gonzalez trying to control from half guard but Troyer is working away. Gonzalez tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Troyer. Gonzalez prevents Troyer from improving his position. Gonzalez is trying to control. Troyer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gonzalez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Troyer counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Speedy Gonzalez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gonzalez tries to bench press Troyer off him but Troyer keeps the position. Troyer trying to control the action but Gonzalez is working from the bottom. Troyer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gonzalez kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Troyer misses with an attempted head punch from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vern Troyer dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gonzalez has his takedown stuffed and Troyer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Troyer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Gonzalez is trying to keep Troyer in close.
Gonzalez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gonzalez looking for a guillotine here but Troyer defends easily.
Troyer wants to control from the top but Gonzalez keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez has a closed guard, preventing Troyer from standing up. Troyer wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Gonzalez's closed guard. He's half up but Gonzalez has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Gonzalez pivots and extends the arm, Troyer falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Gonzalez! Well done that man!
