Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arm Barr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laarj Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dong comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I Got Love kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Arm Barr has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arm Barr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Laarj Dong! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barr tries to clinch up but Dong circles away and keeps his distance. Barr fails in his attempt to clinch. Dong is looking to clinch but Barr is avoiding it.
Dong drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barr is looking for a sweep. Dong working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Barr is trying to improve his position. Dong thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dong misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Barr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Barr parries the strikes from Dong easily there. Dong is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Barr to escape.
Dong tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dong throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Dong tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dong has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dong looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dong goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Barr has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dong but great work by Barr. Barr trying to control the position but Dong is working away. Dong tries to buck Barr off but Barr is having none of it. Barr throws an elbow but Dong slips to the side and avoids it well. Barr decides to stand back up. Barr steps back and let's Dong get back to his feet. Barr clinches up with Dong and pushes him back against the cage. Barr lands with a light punch inside. Barr creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Dong's defenses.
It looks like Laarj Dong has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barr avoiding damage.
Barr gets control of Dong's arms and successfully pulls guard. Barr will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Barr wants to sweep here but Dong controlling him for the moment. Barr could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dong has gone for a leg lock! Barr slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dong's guard. Dong is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barr is aware though and is defending well. Dong has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Barr is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dong. Dong is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dong looks to move to half guard but instead Barr has passed into mount! Damn! Dong wants to hold on but Barr pushes him away. Barr controlling the pace for now. Barr prevents Dong from getting the reversal. Barr avoids the attempt from Dong to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Arm Barr will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Laarj Dong's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Dong swats away the attempt to clinch by Barr. Barr bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dong is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Barr asserts his dominance and retains side control. Barr wants to control but Dong is keeping him busy. Barr tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dong struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong is looking for a sweep. Barr has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Barr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barr throws a nice looking combination but Dong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Barr closes the distance and clinches. Dong is trying to break the clinch but Barr has him pressed against the cage. Barr dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Dong drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dong fails to pull guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barr stalling.
Barr lands an elbow that stopped Dong in his tracks for a moment. Barr trying to land knees to the body.
Dong has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Barr avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Arm Barr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Laarj Dong. Dong takes an elbow to the temple. Dong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Barr is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Dong has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Barr regains guard immediately. Dong with a flurry of punches that miss. Dong drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Barr dives on top into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dong is looking for a triangle but Barr pushes his legs off easily.
Dong looking for a sweep. Not yet Dong, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barr has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Barr avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dong wants to sweep but no luck. Dong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dong is controlling Barr's posture. Dong striking off his back but it's not causing Barr any problems. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Arm Barr will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Laarj Dong's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Dong closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dong wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Barr, who protects the arm well. Dong working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Barr is looking to regain half guard here but Dong keeps moving and retains side control. Dong tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong throws an elbow but Barr slips to the side and avoids it well. Dong is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Barr has escaped the position, nice work there. Dong looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Dong sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Barr is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Barr moves in looking to clinch but Dong pushes him off. Barr tries to clinch up so Dong counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Barr trying to control the position.
Barr working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dong. Dong works a leg free and moves into half guard. Dong is looking for submissions but instead, Barr has regained full guard.
Dong trying to control but Barr is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barr works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barr swivels though and keeps the full guard. Barr tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dong drops back looking for a leg! Barr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Barr manages to kick Dong off! Dong jumps back into Barr's guard. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Dong. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Barr keeping moving, preventing Dong from controlling successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dong dives in and grabs Barr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barr pushes down on Dong's head and hops out. Dong has a takedown stuffed. Dong tries for a takedown but Barr circles away easily and Barr counters by moving into the clinch. Arm Barr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Laarj Dong. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Barr pulls Dong into guard.
Dong decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Barr, up you get! Barr slaps away a takedown attempt from Dong, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Laarj Dong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Barr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
