Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Weichanthal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sigvard Engelbrekt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Engelbrekt is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rome - Der Brandtaucher. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Weichanthal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sigvard Engelbrekt!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engelbrekt blocks a head kick by Weichanthal.

Engelbrekt feints and as Weichanthal raises his hands in defense, Engelbrekt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Engelbrekt drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Weichanthal manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Engelbrekt has Weichanthal in his guard.
Engelbrekt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Engelbrekt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Weichanthal was covering up waiting for the punch and Engelbrekt finishes the takedown easily into guard.

I would just about give that final round to Sigvard Engelbrekt.
