Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ruediger Hoffmann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Klimas!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoffmann darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Klimas connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Ruediger Hoffmann has been cut.
Klimas misses with a series of wild punches.
Klimas throws a right hand that Hoffmann ducks under and follows up with a left that Hoffmann also avoids with ease.
Hoffmann keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Klimas throws a jab when Hoffmann was well out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Klimas slips a jab and a cross from Hoffmann.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Klimas jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Klimas misses with a few strikes there.
Klimas takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Klimas cracks Hoffmann with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Klimas has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hoffmann to stand back up!
Hoffmann is rocked!
Klimas loads up on a big right hand but Hoffmann slips the punch.
Oh Hoffmann is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hoffmann drops his hands momentarily. Klimas doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Hoffmann staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Hoffmann doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Klimas!
