Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Marak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamcha Susanoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Marak might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Templars of Steele - Hammer Fall. Yamcha Susanoo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Marak! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yamcha Susanoo! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marak looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Susanoo! Susanoo is desperately trying to improve his position but Marak has a good base and remains in mount. Marak thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Marak with shots to the head and body - Susanoo looks very uncomfortable down there. Marak scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Susanoo?
It looks like Yamcha Susanoo has been cut. Marak goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Susanoo turns into him and now he's in Marak's guard.
Marak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Susanoo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Susanoo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Susanoo wants to get up but he can't break Marak's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Marak trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Susanoo preventing the sweep. Susanoo tries to stand but Marak is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marak throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Susanoo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Marak's head. Marak looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Susanoo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Susanoo preventing the sweep. Susanoo wants to stand but Marak has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Marak working for a triangle but Susanoo defends it easily.
Marak is breathing heavily. Marak is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marak is working an open guard so Susanoo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Marak closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Marak winds up and cracks Susanoo with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Susanoo makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Marak dodges the punch combination from Susanoo.
Susanoo throws a series of punches but Marak avoids them all with ease. Marak shoots in for a double leg but Susanoo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Susanoo throws a shot to the body.
Marak drops his hands momentarily and Susanoo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Susanoo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Susanoo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Marak is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Susanoo keeping moving, preventing Marak from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marak slips nicely into half guard. Marak trying to pass the guard but Susanoo defending well. Marak is working hard here to advance position. Marak prevents Susanoo from standing back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Marak ducks under a wild hook from Susanoo. Marak fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A punch combination from Susanoo misses. Susanoo stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Marak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marak moves into the clinch successfully.
Marak manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Marak striking off his back.
Susanoo is rocked! Marak has his feet on Susanoo's thighs here. He's pushed Susanoo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Susanoo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
