The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barksdale thuds a left hand into sweeney's body.
Barksdale misses with a jab, cross combination.
Barksdale avoids the head kick by sweeney.
Barksdale swats away the attempt to clinch by sweeney.
A left lands for Barksdale.
It looks like adam sweeney has been cut.
A lazy left from Barksdale finds it's target.
sweeney tries to clinch but Barksdale moves out of range.
Barksdale feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
sweeney can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Barksdale controls the pace.
sweeney is looking to stand up but Barksdale isn't so interested in that idea.
Barksdale works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Barksdale works his foot free and advances to mount.
Barksdale throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! sweeney has his hands clasped together but Barksdale breaks the hold and sweeney is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Barksdale!
