The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dodd shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tarenz is trying to defend but Dodd finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Dodd is controlling the pace.
Dodd postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Tarenz to stand up.
Dodd throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dodd fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tarenz sprawls well initially but Dodd persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
