Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brayden Hulak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gouge Velouria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gouge Velouria is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brayden Hulak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gouge Velouria! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hulak slips a jab and a cross from Velouria.
Hulak closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hulak trying to pass the guard but Velouria defending well. Hulak throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hulak lands with a punch from half guard. Hulak performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Velouria can do anything to dispel that myth. Hulak has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Velouria holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Hulak tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hulak looking for a guillotine from mount but Velouria is having none of it. Hulak has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hulak has control of Velouria's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Velouria regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Velouria is desperately trying to improve his position but Hulak has a good base and remains in mount. Hulak moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Velouria has worked his arm free - good work by Velouria!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hulak landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Velouria really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hulak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hulak cracks Velouria with a big elbow. Velouria wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Hulak is looking to take a break and control but Velouria is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hulak postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Hulak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Velouria looks gassed! Hulak lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Velouria gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
