Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aron Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pray kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Oyster Cult. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lay Pray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aron Rogers! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pray shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Rogers tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Pray is landing with some decent strikes but Rogers is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Pray scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Rogers?
Pray sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Pray avoids the attempt from Rogers to control. Rogers is looking to get to half guard. Pray thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Rogers is looking to get to half guard. Pray looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pray tries to control but Rogers wriggling away. Pray lands a big elbow. Pray with a couple of short strikes. Pray takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rogers keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Pray trying to control the action but Rogers is working from the bottom. Pray stalling. Pray not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pray prevents Rogers from improving his position. Rogers is staying active underneath Pray, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pray missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pray wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rogers keeps working. Pray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rogers keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pray fails to land the takedown. Pray throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rogers's waist but Rogers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pray off to one side. Pray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rogers tries to avoid it but Pray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rogers to the ground. Rogers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lay Pray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pray is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rogers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pray is breathing heavily. Rogers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pray defends it nicely. Rogers looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pray! Rogers lands a heavy elbow. Rogers lands a big elbow. Pray is trying to stand up. That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pray is looking to get to half guard. Rogers lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rogers raining down shots from the mount! Pray on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pray tries to get out of the position. Pray tries to hold on but Rogers pushes him away. Rogers with shots to the head and body - Pray looks very uncomfortable down there. Pray is desperately trying to improve his position but Rogers has a good base and remains in mount. Rogers landing strikes, looking to finish! Pray regains half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rogers thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rogers seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rogers throwing shots but Pray is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Aron Rogers will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Pray shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Pray missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Pray is looking for a kimura but Rogers is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pray to get the leverage. Pray thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Pray looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rogers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Rogers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pray scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Rogers trying to control here.
Pray is keen to just control but Rogers is a slippery customer. Pray scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rogers is breathing heavily. Pray winds up and cracks Rogers with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pray is thwarting Rogers's attempts to control the position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pray lands a nice short elbow. Rogers makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rogers. Pray looking to pass the guard. Pray wants to control from the top but Rogers keeps moving. Pray wants to pass the guard but Rogers is keeping the position. Rogers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pray chips away with some ground and pound. Pray has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pray trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pray thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pray looking to pass the guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. No luck for Rogers with that takedown attempt. Pray shoots and misses and Rogers counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rogers. Rogers throwing strikes but missing. Pray working a defensive guard here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pray gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rogers to score an easy takedown into full guard. Pray looking for a sweep. Not yet Pray, not yet.

Pray with a poor takedown and Rogers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rogers stuffs the takedown attempt from Pray. Pray gets slowly back to his feet. Rogers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pray looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pray is trying to get back to his feet. Pray is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Rogers works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Rogers grinds an elbow into Pray's temple. Rogers wants to control but Pray is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Pray's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pray is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Pray blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rogers. Pray wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy.

Rogers postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pray wants to stand up but Rogers is controlling him. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pray is on top in guard.

Pray slows the pace down in half guard. Pray wants to take a breather but Rogers is having none of it. Pray throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Pray works his foot free and advances to mount. Pray has control of Rogers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rogers regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Pray landing strikes from the mount. Pray is landing with some decent strikes but Rogers is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Aron Rogers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Pray lands a heavy elbow. Rogers taking shots to the head. Pray prevents Rogers from getting the reversal. The referee warns Rogers that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Rogers takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Lay Pray has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pray landing shots from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Lay Pray showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rogers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
