Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andre Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Sobral! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Sobral tries to bench press Kane off him but Kane keeps the position. Kane scoring with punches and elbows. Kane misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kane throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kane fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kane misses with the ground and pound. Kane lands an elbow. Sobral tries to improve position but can't. Kane cracks Sobral with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kane throwing strikes but Sobral manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Kane manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kane wants to control but Sobral is keeping busy.
Kane is staying active underneath Sobral, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Sobral throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sobral wants to take a breather but Kane is having none of it. Kane wants to control but Sobral is keeping busy.
Kane wants to improve his position but Sobral is controlling well.
Kane is looking to get back to full guard here but Sobral has managed to pass to side control instead. Sobral looking to control but Kane is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kane avoids a series of strikes thrown by Sobral.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kane is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sobral controlling from the full mount. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kane is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sobral wants to control the pace but Kane is squirming around nicely. Kane wants to hold on but Sobral pushes him away. Kane flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Sobral can't control as he wanted to and Kane manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Kane throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Sobral manages to pass to side control. Sobral lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kane down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane regains half guard. Kane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sobral trying to control from half guard but Kane is working away.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jason Sobral just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sobral throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kane moves away from the strike by Sobral. Kane dodges the punch combination from Sobral.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sobral misses with a wild combination.
Kane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kane working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kane missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kane content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Sobral wants to stand up but Kane is controlling him. Sobral looks gassed! Kane throws a big right hand that misses. Kane scoring with punches to the head and body. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kane accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kane postures up.

Andre Kane dominated that round. That's time! Kane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kane shoots in looking for a takedown. Sobral tries to sprawl out of it but Kane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sobral manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sobral misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kane is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sobral sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kane walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Sobral throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Sobral throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sobral looks to land a body kick but Kane moved away. No joy there for Sobral, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sobral throws a series of punches but Kane moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kane is looking to work some ground and pound but Sobral has wrist control. Kane chips away with some ground and pound. Sobral is breathing heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sobral looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kane throwing strikes but missing. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kane is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kane loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sobral throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sobral looks to land a right hand but Kane moved out of range. A telegraphed right hand from Sobral misses the target. Sobral smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kane. Kane landing strikes. Sobral gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Kane is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Sobral taking some punishment here, with Kane in his half guard.

Kane not landing any meaningful shots this time. Sobral is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kane's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kane's back! Kane looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Kane can't escape the position.

Sobral throws a hook to the side of Kane's head but Kane sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Some wild striking there from Sobral.
Sobral tries to bum rush Kane with a series of wild strikes but Kane uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sobral scores with a one two! Kane had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Kane defending well as Sobral loads up on a big left hand. No joy there for Sobral, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Andre Kane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kane ducks under a wild hook from Sobral. Sobral pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kane bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kane looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Sobral is avoiding damage well.

Kane tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. You can see the frustration on Sobral's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kane landing a few strikes. Kane cracks Sobral with a big elbow. Sobral is looking for a sweep. Sobral takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Kane tries to score with some ground and pound. Sobral controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Kane sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Sobral is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sobral's head. Sobral holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Kane throws a strike but Sobral avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Kane throws and elbow that misses. Sobral uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kane's guard. Nice move by Sobral! Kane is trying to keep Sobral in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sobral preventing the sweep. Kane is working hard here to advance position. Sobral trying to control but Kane is working from the bottom. Sobral looking to pass the guard. Kane trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kane gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jason Sobral has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andre Kane is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sobral will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that's the end of the fight! Andre Kane showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kane, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
