Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Shride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Spants (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shride's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Can't Tell Me Nothin' from Kanye West. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Derek Shride! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lou Spants! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shride scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Shride grinds an elbow into Spants's temple. Spants defending against the ground and pound. Shride working away. Shride wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spants keeps working. Shride cracks Spants with a big elbow. Spants is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Spants taking some punishment here, with Shride in his half guard. Spants trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shride prevents Spants from standing back up.
Shride wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shride prevents Spants from improving his position. Shride knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spants on the ground. Shride thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Spants's head. Shride is thwarting Spants's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shride tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Shride decides to return to a standing position. Shride clinches. Shride gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Spants.
Shride is looking to break free of the clinch but Spants has double underhooks. Spants ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Spants no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Shride postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Shride missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Spants throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Spants wants to control but Shride passes easily into half guard.
Shride seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shride stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shride wants it to stay on the feet. Spants fails in his attempt to clinch. Shride ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spants moves away. Spants with a poor takedown and Shride counters with a crisp one two that drops Spants! Shride thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Spants to his feet! Spants is in big trouble! Derek Shride has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lou Spants. Shride is breathing heavily. Shride looks to score with a jab to the body but Spants is just out of range. Spants uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shride.
Spants goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spants scores with a three punch combo!
Spants tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shride sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spants somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spants keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shride. Shride throws a jab but it's blocked by Spants. Shride throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Spants sees it coming and avoids it easily. Shride waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Spants. Spants fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Shride wants to clinch and Spants counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Shride's guard now. Spants drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Spants jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Shride might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Spants wants to control from the top but Shride keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spants might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Shride kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Spants stands and throws Shride's legs to the side, diving into side control. Spants tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Spants has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Shride tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Derek Shride will probably get the nod. That's time! Shride's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Spants counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shride won't be happy with that. Spants landing strikes. Shride tries to bench press Spants off him but Spants keeps the position. Spants tries for a kimura but Shride is defending well. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Spants. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Spants tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Spants wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shride keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spants throws an elbow but Shride slips to the side and avoids it well. Shride is being controlled here. Spants wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shride keeps working. Spants is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Shride looks calm but he's in trouble here. Spants gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Shride is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Spants lets go of the hold and Shride can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lou Spants!
