Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Tomb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikko Ilmeinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomb comes to the cage accompanied by Impaled Nazarene - Nyrkilla Tapettava Huora. Ilmeinen has chosen The Imperial March as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Tomb! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikko Ilmeinen! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ilmeinen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tomb tries to avoid it but Ilmeinen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tomb to the ground. Tomb escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tomb keeps the fight on the outside. Ilmeinen on the wrong end of a nice hook. Ilmeinen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tomb swivels and escapes. Ilmeinen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mark Tomb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikko Ilmeinen. Ilmeinen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tomb did well to prevent Ilmeinen getting side control. Tomb pushes Ilmeinen off looking to stand but Ilmeinen dives back in and keeps control.
Ilmeinen slips a nice elbow through Tomb's hands, connecting with Tomb's forehead. Ilmeinen is stalling here. Tomb is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ilmeinen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tomb has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Tomb decides to stand back up. Tomb tries to bum rush Ilmeinen with a series of wild strikes but Ilmeinen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ilmeinen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tomb looks to land a left hand but Ilmeinen moved out of range nicely. Ilmeinen has a takedown stuffed. Tomb missing with a left hand there. Ilmeinen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Tomb swinging wildly here.
Tomb connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Ilmeinen dives in and grabs Tomb's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tomb pushes down on Ilmeinen's head and hops out. Ilmeinen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tomb avoids it really well and circles away. Ilmeinen shoots in but Tomb avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ilmeinen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tomb as he jumps to the side. Ilmeinen wants to clinch up but Tomb keeps it at a distance. Ilmeinen moves into range and clinches up with Tomb. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Ilmeinen. Ilmeinen can't find room to land a body shot as Tomb controls the action.
Tomb breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ilmeinen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Ilmeinen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tomb sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ilmeinen somewhat. Ilmeinen shoots in for a double leg but Tomb sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ilmeinen on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ilmeinen fails with a takedown attempt. Ilmeinen closes the distance and clinches up with Tomb, looking for a takedown. Ilmeinen pushes Tomb against the cage but Tomb circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ilmeinen tries to clinch there but Tomb circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tomb is not content to let Ilmeinen control the position. Tomb tries to kick Ilmeinen off but Ilmeinen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ilmeinen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ilmeinen is trying to control. Tomb wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Tomb is trying to stand up here but Ilmeinen is controlling him well. Ilmeinen working Tomb over with strikes. Tomb keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ilmeinen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tomb keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Tomb dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ilmeinen gets a takedown into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ilmeinen lands a nice short elbow. Ilmeinen is trying to control. Tomb wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ilmeinen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ilmeinen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ilmeinen slows the pace down in half guard. Ilmeinen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ilmeinen is trying to control the action in half guard but Tomb is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ilmeinen is nestled in close to Tomb, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ilmeinen lands a nice short elbow. Ilmeinen trying to control the action but Tomb is working from the bottom. Tomb is trying to stand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ilmeinen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ilmeinen with the ground and pound but Tomb uses the opportunity to regain guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ilmeinen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ilmeinen is in close to Tomb's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tomb working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ilmeinen. Ilmeinen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Tomb avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ilmeinen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Tomb keeping moving, preventing Ilmeinen from controlling successfully. Ilmeinen looking to sit in guard and control but Tomb gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ilmeinen keeping moving, preventing Tomb from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ilmeinen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ilmeinen doesn't manage to clinch there - Tomb circles away.
Tomb looks to throw the jab but Ilmeinen is out of range. Tomb throws a jab when Ilmeinen was well out of range. Ilmeinen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tomb walks into a stiff left hand from Ilmeinen. Ilmeinen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Ilmeinen lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Tomb hang on?
It looks like Mark Tomb has been cut. Ilmeinen postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Tomb bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Ilmeinen and the fight is over!
