Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen No More Mr. Nice Guy as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Corleone! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Williams! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corleone misses with a wild body shot. Williams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Corleone shoots in but no luck this time. Corleone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Williams misses with an uppercut. Corleone saw that one coming. Corleone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Corleone persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing. Williams throws a jab but it's blocked by Corleone. Williams looks to land a left hand but Corleone moved out of range nicely. Williams swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Corleone thuds a left hand into Williams's body. Corleone closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Corleone lands in his opponent's guard. Corleone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Corleone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Williams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams is trying to control. Corleone wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Williams is going to stand back up.
Corleone is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Williams wants to pass to mount but Corleone is defending the position. Williams tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Corleone. Williams postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Corleone to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Corleone drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Williams wants to stand and escape but Corleone is having none of it. Corleone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard. Williams tries to land a sweep but no joy. Williams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Corleone is controlling him. Corleone wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. Corleone is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Williams is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Corleone feints and as Williams raises his hands in defense, Corleone changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corleone wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. Williams looking for a sweep. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Corleone slips a straight right by Williams.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Williams thows a left - swing and a miss! Williams works the jab nicely. Williams cracks Corleone with an open hand slap. Williams waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Corleone. Corleone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Corleone trying to control the position but Williams is working away. Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corleone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Williams manages to get back to half guard. Williams is looking to escape. Williams makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Williams. Williams is looking to stand up but Corleone isn't so interested in that idea. Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Corleone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Corleone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Corleone dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Corleone uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Williams. Horrible takedown by Corleone or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams which made him look bad. Williams walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Corleone checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Corleone keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Williams. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Corleone is defended easily by Williams. Williams might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Corleone shoots in and bounces Williams off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Williams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Corleone is controlling him. Corleone trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Corleone thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Williams decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Corleone, up you get! A telegraphed right hand from Williams misses the target. Williams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Corleone.

Corleone slips a jab from Williams. Williams lands with a right hand. Williams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Williams wants it to stay on the feet. Corleone shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Williams defends it nicely. Williams throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Williams takes a swing at Corleone's ribcage but misses. Williams misses with a few strikes there.
Williams tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Corleone was well out of range. Poor timing from Williams. Williams throws a hook to the side of Corleone's head but Corleone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Corleone walks into a stiff left hand from Williams. Corleone moves out of range as Williams strikes. Corleone looks for a takedown but Williams sprawls well. Williams misses with a body shot
and Corleone counters with a lovely shot to the body. Corleone fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corleone keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Corleone shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense. Williams connects with a jab. Corleone is looking to wear down Williams with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Williams misses with a double jab
and Corleone counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Corleone. Corleone trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williams controlling Corleone's posture. Ray Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Williams misses with a looping right. Williams slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Williams misses with an uppercut. Corleone saw that one coming. Corleone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Williams bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Corleone's head. Williams lands an overhand right. Corleone takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Corleone is rocked! Williams drops Corleone with a straight right hand, right on the button! Williams follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ray Williams! Ray Williams is the new welterweight champion!
