Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tim Whitelock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartolomeo Goodyear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Whitelock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bartolomeo Goodyear! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goodyear misses the shot to the body. Whitelock fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Goodyear gets the takedown into side control. Goodyear thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Goodyear with the ground and pound but Whitelock regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Whitelock blocking the ground and pound attempt from Goodyear. Goodyear really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Whitelock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Goodyear in particular looking to stall. Whitelock trying to control but Goodyear postures up.
Goodyear trying to mount his opponent but Whitelock defends it. Goodyear is trying to work for a kimura but Whitelock is defending well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Whitelock misses with a takedown and Goodyear counters with a single leg into guard. Whitelock didn't expect that. Goodyear drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Whitelock manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Goodyear has Whitelock in his guard. Whitelock forces his way into half guard. Goodyear looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Whitelock thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Goodyear's head. Goodyear is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Goodyear can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Whitelock is going to stand back up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Whitelock seems to be looking for submissions.
Goodyear tries to roll over but Whitelock keeps him under control. Goodyear misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Whitelock tries to clinch but Goodyear moves out of range. Whitelock gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Goodyear counters with a single leg into guard. Whitelock didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Whitelock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Whitelock is breathing heavily. Goodyear not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Whitelock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Whitelock prevents Goodyear from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goodyear controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Goodyear tries to roll over but Whitelock keeps him under control. Goodyear tries to kick Whitelock off but Whitelock keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Goodyear looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Goodyear is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Whitelock pulls his head out easily. Goodyear looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Whitelock closes the distance but Goodyear moves to the side and Goodyear counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Whitelock's guard now. Goodyear avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Whitelock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Whitelock can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Goodyear controls the pace. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Goodyear accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Goodyear passes Whitelock's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Goodyear is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Whitelock doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Goodyear. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Goodyear seems to be looking for submissions.

Bartolomeo Goodyear dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Whitelock gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Whitelock keeping full guard, as Goodyear tries to pass. Goodyear trying to control the position from guard on top but Whitelock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Whitelock is trying to control the position but Goodyear postures up. Goodyear looking to sit in guard and control but Whitelock gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Whitelock wants to control from the top but Goodyear keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goodyear is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Goodyear has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Whitelock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Whitelock trying to control the position from guard on top but Goodyear is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Goodyear can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Whitelock controls the pace. Goodyear wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Whitelock manages to pass to side control. Goodyear is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Goodyear is trying to control but can't.
Bartolomeo Goodyear has got the better of the ground game so far. Whitelock wants to control but Goodyear is keeping him busy. The fighters are battling for position here. Goodyear manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Goodyear keeping moving, preventing Whitelock from controlling successfully. Goodyear avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Whitelock stopping the sweep attempt from Goodyear. Whitelock looking to pass the guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Goodyear gets the takedown into side control. Goodyear is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Whitelock knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Goodyear tries to move to mount but Whitelock blocks the move with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goodyear lands an elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goodyear stands up and beckons Whitelock to his feet. Whitelock clinches but Goodyear breaks the clinch and Goodyear counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Whitelock's guard now. Goodyear tries to free his leg and advance position but Whitelock is retaining full guard. Goodyear thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Goodyear trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whitelock wants to stand up but Goodyear is controlling him. Goodyear drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Goodyear seems to have locked his on tight now - Whitelock screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Goodyear, as he picks up the win!
