Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Avtomat Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gahn Jah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Avtomat Kalashnikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gahn Jah!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jah misses with a straight right.
Jah fails to land the takedown.
Jah throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kalashnikov drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kalashnikov throws a big right hand that misses.
Kalashnikov preventing the sweep.
Kalashnikov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jah working a defensive guard here.
Jah is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kalashnikov could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jah looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kalashnikov is one step ahead there.

Jah is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kalashnikov defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kalashnikov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jah works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Jah throws a hook but Kalashnikov avoids it easily.
Jah rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kalashnikov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jah fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kalashnikov manages to avoid it.
Jah throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jah throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kalashnikov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jah on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov obviously looking to wear him down.
Kalashnikov slips a jab from Jah.
A slow jab from Jah misses its intended target.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jah throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kalashnikov.
A punch combination from Jah misses.
Jah throws a leg kick
and Kalashnikov counters with a series of strikes. Jah will be more careful next time no doubt.
Jah scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jah tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kalashnikov makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Jah really felt that one!

It looks like Avtomat Kalashnikov has been cut.
Kalashnikov shoots for a takedown but Jah saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Avtomat Kalashnikov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jah looks to land a left hand but Kalashnikov moved out of range nicely.

Kalashnikov throws a series of punches but Jah moves out of range.
Kalashnikov throws a nice looking combination but Jah bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jah's corner calls for a 1-2. Jah obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kalashnikov has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jah.

and Kalashnikov counters with a takedown into side control.
Kalashnikov scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jah to see if he's OK.
Kalashnikov is trying to ground and pound but Jah uses the momentary lack of control by Kalashnikov to regain half guard.
Kalashnikov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jah swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Kalashnikov counters with a three punch combo that has Jah backing up. Jah nods at Kalashnikov to acknowledge the strikes.
Jah throws a sloppy head kick

and Kalashnikov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jah has his hands on Kalashnikov's head, controlling the position.
Kalashnikov lands a couple of elbows.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jah lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kalashnikov!
Jah tries to control but Kalashnikov wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Gahn Jah will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jah throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gahn Jah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jah misses with a hook.
The fighters circling - Jah throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jah misses with a body punch

and Kalashnikov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jah won't be happy with that.

Kalashnikov is working Jah over with some ground and pound from side control.
Kalashnikov postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jah is trying to get back to his feet.
Kalashnikov lands a nice forearm strike.
Jah wants to control but Kalashnikov postures up.
Jah wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Kalashnikov lands a decent elbow from side control.
Jah is breathing heavily.

Check out the look on Kalashnikov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Good leg kick by Kalashnikov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kalashnikov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jah throws a hook to the side of Kalashnikov's head but Kalashnikov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kalashnikov looks for a takedown but Jah sprawls well.
Jah pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kalashnikov throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Jah throws a hook to the side of Kalashnikov's head but Kalashnikov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kalashnikov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jah was covering up waiting for the punch and Kalashnikov finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jah wants to get back to his feet but Kalashnikov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kalashnikov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jah fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kalashnikov manages to avoid it.

and Kalashnikov counters with a shoot takedown. Jah fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kalashnikov is looking to work some ground and pound but Jah has wrist control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jah is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kalashnikov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jah's head.

Jah kicks Kalashnikov off and gets to his feet.
Jah misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kalashnikov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jah backs up against the cage.
Kalashnikov takes one on the button.
Kalashnikov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A punch lands to the side of Kalashnikov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jah throws a combination that misses
and Kalashnikov counters with a good low kick that Jah was not able to check.

so Kalashnikov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kalashnikov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Jah wants to get back to his feet but Kalashnikov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jah's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Kalashnikov throws a strike there. Jah manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Kalashnikov throws a strike but Jah avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Kalashnikov throws and elbow that misses. Jah uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kalashnikov's guard. Nice move by Jah!
