Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Reeves!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir is looking to clinch but Reeves is avoiding it.
Nice shot by Reeves.
Mir steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reeves.
Mir tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reeves sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mir somewhat.
Mir closes this distance looking for a takedown but Reeves circles away.
Mir shoots in looking for a takedown. Reeves tries to sprawl out of it but Mir keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reeves manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mir shoots in for a takedown but Reeves shows good takedown defense.
Nice body punch from Reeves.
Mir takes one on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reeves looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Reeves throws a combination. Mir tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Mir is breathing heavily.
Reeves lands a with a good body shot.
Reeves misses with a series of wild punches.
Reeves will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reeves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mir circles away quickly and effectively.
Some wild striking there from Reeves.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mir takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mir has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Reeves scores with a nice head shot.


It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Reeves drops Mir with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mir looks back up at him and smiles so Reeves waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Mir is rocked!
Jacob Reeves is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reeves rushes Mir with punches - Mir moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Mir goes down! Reeves follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jacob Reeves!
