Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aon Fillman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Price! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price dives in and grabs Fillman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fillman pushes down on Price's head and hops out. Price fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fillman avoids it really well and circles away. Price is looking to clinch but Fillman is avoiding it.
Fillman thows a body shot but no joy. Fillman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Price throws a lazy right hand but Fillman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Fillman looks to land a left hand but Price moved out of range nicely. Fillman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Price manages to avoid it. Price uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fillman. Price looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fillman is fending him off so far but Price persists. Nope, Fillman circles away and we're back to standing. Aon Fillman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Price. Price avoids the body shot from Fillman.
Price slips under a jab from Fillman. Fillman misses the shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Price closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Price lands in his opponent's guard. Price must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Price trying to control but Fillman is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Price stops Fillman from standing up. Price wants to control from the top but Fillman keeps moving. Price tries to free his leg and advance position but Fillman is retaining full guard. Price is stalling in the full guard. Price looking to sit in guard and control but Fillman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Fillman stands and steps away. Price gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Horrible takedown by Price or perhaps it was just good defense by Fillman which made him look bad. Fillman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Price shoots in but no luck this time. Aon Fillman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Price misses with a hook. Fillman ducked under it nicely. Price has Fillman up against the cage in a clinch.
Fillman is looking to break free of the clinch but Price has double underhooks. Price is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fillman pulls him back up using the underhooks. Price gets a trip takedown into half guard. Price seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Price is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fillman defends it well. Fillman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Price is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Price trying to control from half guard but Fillman is working away. Price is pressing down on Fillman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fillman is holding on for now. Fillman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Price. Fillman keeps control of the position for the meantime. Fillman is trying to control but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Price tries to clinch up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Price is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fillman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Price has a takedown stuffed. Price fails with a takedown attempt. Price tries to clinch up but Fillman circles away and keeps his distance. Price closes the distance and pushes Fillman back into the cage. Price has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fillman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Price changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fillman fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Fillman tests Price's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fillman throws the left hand but Price avoids the punch easily. Price looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Fillman! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fillman tries to hold on but Price postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aon Fillman dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Fillman with a nice cross. Fillman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Fillman throws a jab when Price was well out of range. Fillman stuns Price with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Fillman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Price.
Fillman takes a swing at Price's ribcage but misses. Price shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fillman but Fillman pushes him off and we're back to square one. Fillman leaves Price with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fillman waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Price. Price moves into the clinch. Fillman wants to break the clinch but can't.

Fillman is pressed up against the cage. Price has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fillman down to the mat. Fillman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Aon Fillman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Price. Price is breathing heavily. Fillman lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Price misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Robert Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Price takes a body punch but keeps moving. Price shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Price was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fillman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Fillman is working hard here to advance position. Fillman is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Fillman is squirming around, avoiding Price's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fillman is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Price swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Fillman is now in Price's guard. A big mistake from Price there, giving up the dominant position! Price has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fillman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Price tries to land a sweep but no joy. Price trying to control the position here.

Fillman wanted to stand there but Price had control of the position. Price is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Price has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fillman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fillman's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Price uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fillman.
Price changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fillman tries to avoid it but Price manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fillman to the ground. Fillman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Price is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Fillman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Price tries to clinch but Fillman is having none of it. Fillman misses with a wild body shot. Fillman throws a leg kick but Price sees it coming and checks it nicely. Price tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fillman was well out of range. Poor timing from Price. Fillman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Price to score an easy takedown into full guard. Price has gone for a leg lock! Fillman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Price's guard. Price wants to sweep here but Fillman controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aon Fillman dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

That's going to take a lot out of Robert Price. Price takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Price walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Price fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Price wants to clinch up but Fillman keeps it at a distance. Aon Fillman is winning the standup battle so far. Fillman ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Fillman scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Fillman misses with a hook. Price is looking to clinch. Fillman cracks a nice hook into Price's ribs. Price takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fillman drops Price with a beautiful combination! Price stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fillman is looking for the KO!
Price is rocked! Fillman connects with a nice cross there... Price is looking wobbly and Fillman recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Price to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Fillman jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
