Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Geo Jr is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Daron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Geo Jr! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daron wants to clinch up but Jr keeps it at a distance. Jack Daron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jr looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Daron. Daron shoots in but no luck this time. Daron looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jr is fending him off so far but Daron persists. Nope, Jr circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Daron. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jr closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Daron did well to prevent Jr getting side control. Daron works his way to full guard. Good work. Daron is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jr is aware though and is defending well. Jr wants to control from the top but Daron keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Daron is on top in guard.
Daron missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Daron trying to control but Jr is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daron accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jr keeping full guard, as Daron tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daron is pushing down on Jr's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jr is fighting to maintain full guard but Daron has managed to sneak the leg through. Daron wants to control but Jr is keeping him busy. Daron wants to pass to mount but Jr is defending the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Daron slaps away a takedown attempt from Jr, before circling back to the center of the mat. Daron doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Daron's guard. Jr wants to control from the top but Daron keeps moving. Daron has his foot on Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jr works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jr throwing strikes but missing. Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daron trying to keep a closed guard but Jr is proving a slippery customer.
Daron looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Daron controls Jr momentarily but Jr frees himself. Daron is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Daron is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jr preventing the sweep. Jr with a flurry of punches that miss. Jr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Daron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jr wants to control from the top but Daron keeps moving. Jr preventing the sweep. Daron looking for a guillotine here but Jr defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jr avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Daron looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jr has picked Daron up and slammed him! Daron can't keep hold of the triangle and Jr manages to pass to side control! Jr landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Daron is trying to control Jr's posture but Jr avoids it. Daron is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jr's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jack Daron will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Daron fails with a takedown attempt. Daron shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jr napping and manages to drive through into side control! Daron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Daron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Daron working away. Daron has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Jr! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Daron trying to control but he's not successful this time. Daron is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jr shrugs it off. Jack Daron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daron swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jr is now in Daron's guard. A big mistake from Daron there, giving up the dominant position! Daron wants to sweep here but Jr controlling him for the moment. Daron wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jr is now in half guard. Daron is pressing down on Jr's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jr trying to control but Daron is working from the bottom. Jr avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daron preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jr wants to stand but Daron has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Daron looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Jr is defending well. Daron quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jr has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Daron celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
