Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Red! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Crusher! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crusher shoots for a double leg takedown but Red sprawls well. He's pushed Crusher's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Crusher slips a jab and a cross from Red.
Crusher listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Red looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Crusher keeping full guard, as Red tries to pass. Red wants to control from the top but Crusher keeps moving. Crusher preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Red stops Crusher from standing up. Red wants to control from the top but Crusher keeps moving. Red is really struggling to control Crusher but he's trying to hold on to the position. Red working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Red wants to control from the top but Crusher keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Red fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Crusher sprawls well initially but Red persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Red throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Red stops Crusher from getting back to his feet.

Red thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Crusher to regain full guard. Red decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Crusher looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Crusher tries to clinch but Red moves out of range. Red misses with a two punch combination.
Red throws a right and a left that Crusher avoids nicely. Red is breathing heavily. Red tries to clinch up but Crusher circles away and keeps his distance. Red throws a right hand that Crusher ducks under and follows up with a left that Crusher also avoids with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Red is looking to score with low kicks. Crusher throws a series of punches but Red avoids them all with ease. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Crusher.
Crusher doesn't manage to clinch there - Red circles away.
Crusher moves into the clinch. Crusher lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Red or not. Crusher looking for a takedown. Crusher has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Red avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Kevin Red has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Crusher. Red tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Crusher is trying to break the clinch but Red is controlling him. Red letting Crusher take a breather here. Red tries to work over Crusher's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Crusher goes for a takedown in the clinch but Red prevents it.
Red throws a punch but it's blocked by Crusher. Crusher breaks from the clinch.
Crusher doesn't succeed with the takedown and Red counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Crusher!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Red looking to ground and pound but Crusher is blocking nicely. Red throws a strike there. Crusher manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Crusher has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Red is working away from the top position though. Crusher is trying to get back to full guard. Red seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Crusher keeping hold of Red's head, controlling as best he can. Crusher is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Red decides to stand and escape the position. Crusher throws a left and a right that both miss
and Red counters with a thumping low kick. Crusher is looking to clinch. Red shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Red was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Red lands a big elbow. Red misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Red prevents Crusher from getting the reversal. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. BOOM! Red connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Crusher taking shots to the head. Crusher sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Red shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Crusher manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Crusher has a closed guard, preventing Red from standing up. Crusher looking to control.
Crusher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Red is trying to control but can't.
Red wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Red tries to roll over but Crusher keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crusher perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Red wants to get back to full guard but Crusher has mounted him! Red is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Red is trying to stand up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Red trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Crusher dominating with strikes here. Crusher working Red over with strikes here. Red flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Crusher can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Red is looking to escape. Kevin Red overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Crusher manages to capitalize on a mistake by Red to take his back! Crusher lands an elbow to the side of the head. Red looking very determined here, making life difficult for Crusher.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Crusher is looking to control Red but Red is wriggling around and keeping busy. Red is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kevin Red will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Crusher clinches. Red gets control of Crusher's arms and successfully pulls guard. Red will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Red is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crusher is controlling him. Crusher looking to pass the guard. Crusher controlling from the top position. Red keeping moving, preventing Crusher from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ricky Crusher just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Red scores with a kick to the midsection. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crusher with a lazy takedown attempt and Red counters by moving into the clinch. Crusher fails to pull guard.
Red escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Crusher tries to clinch but Red moves out of range. Crusher gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Red to score an easy takedown into full guard. Red stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crusher swivels though and keeps the full guard. Crusher is working an open guard so Red takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Red tries to clinch but Crusher is having none of it. Nice straight punches there by Red. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Red.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crusher tries to clinch and Red holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Crusher is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kevin Red has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Crusher. Red gets underhooks to prevent Crusher's takedown attempt.
Red breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Red swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Crusher counters with a head kick. Red misses with a combination
and Crusher counters with a two punch combo. Red has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Crusher shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Red sprawls well. Red wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Crusher gets slowly back to his feet. Red scores with a push kick. Red swats away the attempt to clinch by Crusher.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crusher wants to clinch. Crusher shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Red counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Red. Red looking to sit in guard and control but Crusher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Red is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Red wriggles free and stands up. Kevin Red seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crusher throws a sloppy head kick and Red counters with a one-two to the body. Crusher misses with a takedown and Red counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Red. Kevin Red is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Red prevents Crusher from breaking the clinch. Red breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Crusher looks to clinch and Red counters with a nice uppercut. A jab from Crusher misses. Crusher tries to clinch but Red moves away and Red decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Crusher's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Red decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Crusher, up you get! Red changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Crusher looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Red working the head and body with strikes. Red just content to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Red working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Red showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Red, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
