These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from carlos.
Ferreira looks to land a right hand but carlos moved out of range.
carlos swinging wildly here.
carlos has a takedown stuffed.
carlos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferreira's waist but Ferreira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing carlos off to one side.
Daniel Ferreira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of jose carlos.
Ferreira throws a left and a right that both miss
and carlos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ferreira's guard now.
Ferreira wants to get back to his feet but carlos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
carlos wants to control from the top but Ferreira keeps moving.
carlos in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ferreira scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Ferreira lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like jose carlos has been cut.

Ferreira connects with the punch.
carlos is rocked!
Ferreira cracks carlos with a hook to the temple - carlos is on wobbly legs here! Ferreira swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! carlos falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Ferreira wins by TKO!
