Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shawn Davison!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams throws a sloppy head kick and Davison moves out of range easily.

Davison is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Williams's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Davison content to control rather than advance.
Williams trying to hold on to Davison's head to control him but Davison postures up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Williams is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams is staying active underneath Davison, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Davison is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Despite being in the dominant position, Shawn Davison just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Let's hope that Davison has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Davison tries to close the distance and clinch but Williams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Davison drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Williams looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Davison puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Davison uses his free foot to push down on Williams's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Williams.

Williams wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Davison.
Davison takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Williams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Davison controlling the position easily from mount.

Williams slaps away a takedown attempt from Davison, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Williams is looking to clinch but Davison is avoiding it.

Williams gets caught flat footed, as Davison shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Williams has momentary wrist control but Davison slips an elbow through the middle.
Davison not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Williams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davison is one step ahead there.

Davison stands up over Williams, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Williams is working an open guard so Davison takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Davison tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Shawn Davison showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Williams prevents a takedown attempt there.
Davison is trying to drag Williams to the mat but Williams just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Davison is working for takedown but Williams is calmly controlling the position for now.
Tyson Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Davison.

Williams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Davison swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davison paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Williams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Davison makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Davison closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Williams to the mat! Williams manages to get full guard.
Williams is trying to hold Davison in close to prevent damage but Davison has managed to pass into half guard.
Shawn Davison has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Well, if Davison is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Davison thows a huge punch but Williams dodges it nicely.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Williams gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Williams is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Davison is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Williams is looking to improve his position.
Davison is taking a breather. Williams says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Davison drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee asks Davison politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Davison prefers to stall for the moment though.
Tyson Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Davison decides to stand up, so the ref orders Williams to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Shawn Davison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Davison winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
