Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xander Boudewijn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Wanhanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boudewijn comes to the cage accompanied by The Streets - Blinded by the Lights. Wanhanen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mina olen by Kotiteollisuus. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Matti Wanhanen enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Xander Boudewijn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matti Wanhanen!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wanhanen throws a series of punches but Boudewijn avoids them all with ease.
Boudewijn throws the left hand but Wanhanen avoids the punch easily.
Boudewijn throws a shot from downtown. Wanhanen moves away and avoids it.
Wanhanen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Boudewijn misses with a hook to the body
and Wanhanen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Wanhanen counters with a single leg into guard. Boudewijn didn't expect that.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Boudewijn using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wanhanen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Boudewijn is pressed up against the cage. Wanhanen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boudewijn down to the mat. Boudewijn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Boudewijn counters with a nice right hand that sends Wanhanen toppling to the canvas! Wanhanen scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Boudewijn finish him?!

Wanhanen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boudewijn's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
