The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Houtten wants to clinch up but De Lorme keeps it at a distance.
De Lorme scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
De Lorme closes the distance and clinches.
Van Houtten with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Van Houtten pulls guard effortlessly.
De Lorme has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Van Houtten is proving hard to escape from.
Van Houtten is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
De Lorme must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Van Houtten has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but De Lorme can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Van Houtten has his foot on De Lorme's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. De Lorme works his way back into a safe position though.

De Lorme would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
De Lorme wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Van Houtten's closed guard. He's half up but Van Houtten has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Van Houtten pivots and extends the arm, De Lorme falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Van Houtten! Well done that man!
