Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack McHammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Dance Hall Days. McHammer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hammerfall - Heeding the Call kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack McHammer! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. McHammer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab. Jones swings for the body but McHammer moves out of range.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but McHammer ducks down to avoid it. Jones moves out of range of the strikes. McHammer looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Marcus Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McHammer scores with a nice right hand.
A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target. Jones throws a leg kick that misses. McHammer dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on McHammer's head and hops out. McHammer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jab from Jones. Jones jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jones looks to throw the jab but McHammer is out of range. McHammer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Marcus Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack McHammer. Jones connects with a right hand. McHammer shakes it off. No luck with that takedown attempt from McHammer.
That's one minute gone in the round. McHammer ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Jones connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. McHammer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones. McHammer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
McHammer checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. McHammer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but McHammer persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jones wants to get back to full guard. Jones trying to control from the bottom.

McHammer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jones shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones blocking the ground and pound. Jones tries to hold on but McHammer pushes him away. McHammer looking to ground and pound but Jones is blocking nicely. Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jones can't escape the position.
Jones tries to lock up and control but McHammer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. McHammer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. McHammer is trying to take his opponent's back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McHammer trying to control but he's not successful this time. McHammer scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jones?
McHammer is landing with some decent strikes but Jones is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. McHammer moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jones has worked his arm free - good work by Jones!
McHammer working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McHammer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McHammer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McHammer sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jones is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
McHammer is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jones prevents McHammer from moving into mount. McHammer cracks Jones with a big elbow. McHammer wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack McHammer dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McHammer tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A punch combination from Jones misses. McHammer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jones scores with a hook. McHammer tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. McHammer looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range. Jones misses with a wild body shot. Jones lands with a nice body punch. Horrible takedown by McHammer or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad. Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McHammer.

That's one minute gone in the round. McHammer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Jones throws a jab when McHammer was well out of range. Jones misses with a body shot.
McHammer shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Marcus Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack McHammer. Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McHammer. McHammer shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but McHammer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McHammer. Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McHammer sees it coming and avoids it easily. McHammer pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body. McHammer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A jab from Jones misses. McHammer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jones staying out of range there. McHammer dips to his left and cracks Jones with an uppercut! Jones takes a swing at McHammer's ribcage but misses. A nice leg kick lands there from Jones. McHammer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target. Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
McHammer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. McHammer fails to land with a series of punches.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from McHammer. A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target. Jones missing with a left hand there. McHammer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones slips a jab and a cross from McHammer.
McHammer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. McHammer scores with a punch to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Jones dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

McHammer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. McHammer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McHammer off to one side. Jones tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McHammer is able to avoid easily. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. McHammer throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones. McHammer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Jones thows a left - swing and a miss! McHammer shoots in but no luck this time. McHammer throws a right and a left that both miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McHammer looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range. Jones looks to land a left hand but McHammer moved out of range nicely. A big right from Jones misses. Jones scores with a body shot.

He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. McHammer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jones tries a low kick but McHammer avoids it. McHammer lands a nice looking body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McHammer. A swing and a miss from Jones. Marcus Jones is winning the standup battle so far.

Jack McHammer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones missing with a left hand there. McHammer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. McHammer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. McHammer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. McHammer on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
McHammer chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.
McHammer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by McHammer or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad. Jones lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Jones misses with an uppercut. McHammer saw that one coming. McHammer blocks a jab. A jab from Jones finds it's way through McHammer's defenses. Jones throws a series of strikes that have McHammer backpedaling.
McHammer misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McHammer. Marcus Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McHammer misses with the combination.
Jones misses the jab. McHammer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Jones avoids the head kick by McHammer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Jones. Jones throws a low kick, looking for McHammer's leg but McHammer calmly moves out of range. Jones throws a leg kick but McHammer checks it. Jones closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Jack McHammer has been cut. Jones takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
McHammer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A shot to the body from Jones misses and McHammer counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McHammer was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones. McHammer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McHammer works over Jones's head and body with a nice combination. McHammer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. McHammer misses with a head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcus Jones showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
