The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scocco misses with a body shot.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Scocco throws out the jab.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Scocco, pushing him back against the cage.
Scocco fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Scocco tries to stall but Jones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Maybe Scocco would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Scocco drops his hands momentarily and Jones takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jones throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Scocco shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Scocco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
