PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Humble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Lion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simon Humble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Forrest Lion!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Humble is defended easily by Lion.
Humble shoots in looking for a takedown. Lion tries to sprawl out of it but Humble keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lion manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Humble feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lion escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Humble gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lion has momentary wrist control but Humble slips an elbow through the middle.
Humble has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lion is proving hard to escape from.
