Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Another Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thau Ching (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Another Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Another Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thau Ching!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ching dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Ching's head and hops out.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Ching, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Silva plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Thau Ching has been cut.
Silva tries to bum rush Ching with a series of wild strikes but Ching uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ching tries to clinch up.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ching lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Silva has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Silva and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ching misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Another Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thau Ching.

Ching forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.
Silva tries to circle away but Ching has him pinned against the cage.

Silva wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ching has him pressed against the cage.

Ching closes the distance but Silva moves to the side
and Silva counters with a head kick. That will keep Ching thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Ching counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ching stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Silva makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Another Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ching as he avoids it easily.
Silva keeps Ching at a distance using the push kick.

Silva cracks the inside of Ching's front leg.

Silva looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ching defends it well.

Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Ching is trying to control but can't.
Silva takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Silva works his foot free and advances to mount.
Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ching takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Ching wants to hold on but Silva pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ching really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Silva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ching's face.

Silva is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ching is surviving well by controlling Silva's body position as best he can.
Silva cracks Ching with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ching tries to hold on but Silva pushes him away.
Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ching is wriggling around trying to escape.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ching. That did some damage!

Thau Ching has got the better of the ground game so far.

Silva has one foot on Ching's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ching sprawls well. Ching wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

and Silva counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Silva throws a series of punches but Ching moves out of range.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ching is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ching is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Silva throws a leg kick which misses Ching's front leg but catches the back leg as Ching tries to avoid it.
Ching shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Ching's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Another Silva will probably get the nod.

Ching throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.

and Ching decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Ching is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Silva thuds his shin into the meat of Ching's side.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ching shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Ching keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva connects with a solid leg kick.
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ching sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.

Ching escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ching has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle.

Ching has managed to clinch.
Silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ching walks away with a smile on his face. Silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Silva uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Ching throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ching off to one side.

Another Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Silva has Ching pressed against the cage, preventing Ching from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ching's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Silva misses with an elbow over the top.
Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Silva has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ching clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Another Silva.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
