Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dynamite Roll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Kairouz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kairouz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica - Seek and Destroy. Dynamite Roll had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russell Kairouz!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roll darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Roll working the head and body with strikes.
Roll is keen to just control but Kairouz is a slippery customer.
Kairouz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kairouz.
Kairouz wants to sweep here but Roll controlling him for the moment.
Roll is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roll accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Roll's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Kairouz pulls Roll in close to his closed guard and prevents Roll from doing any damage or advancing position.
Roll trying to control but Kairouz is working from the bottom.
Kairouz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kairouz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Roll manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Roll wants to get back to his feet.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Roll tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kairouz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kairouz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Roll knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Roll is looking to regain half guard here but Kairouz keeps moving and retains side control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kairouz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Roll counters with a three punch combo that has Kairouz backing up. Kairouz nods at Roll to acknowledge the strikes.

Kairouz tries to lock up and control but Roll gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kairouz is on top in guard.

Roll fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kairouz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Roll shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kairouz napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Roll throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kairouz uses it to pass to side control.

Russell Kairouz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kairouz drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Roll manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kairouz has Roll in his guard.
