Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Gauti Geirsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Geirsson's entrance music is Fjöllin Hafa vakað. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Magnus Gauti Geirsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, MJ Penn!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn closes the distance and clinches up with Geirsson, looking for a takedown. Penn pushes Geirsson against the cage but Geirsson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Geirsson lands with a cross.
Penn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Penn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Penn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Penn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Penn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Geirsson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Penn is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Geirsson controls Penn momentarily but Penn frees himself.
Geirsson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Penn is controlling him.
Penn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Penn dives in and grabs Geirsson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Geirsson pushes down on Penn's head and hops out.
Penn looks gassed!
Geirsson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Penn counters with a takedown into side control.
Geirsson is looking to regain half guard here but Penn keeps moving and retains side control.
Penn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Geirsson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Penn is looking for a kimura here.
Penn is trying to work for a kimura but Geirsson is defending well.
Geirsson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Geirsson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Penn on the ground.

Geirsson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Penn prevents Geirsson from improving his position.
Penn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Penn is looking for a kimura here.
Geirsson is looking to improve his position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Geirsson scores a takedown into full mount!
Geirsson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Penn is looking to escape.

Penn tries to lock up and control but Geirsson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Penn working to try and regain half guard.
Geirsson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Penn's face.
Geirsson is landing with some decent strikes but Penn is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Penn really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Geirsson has control of Penn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Penn regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Penn gets back to half guard.
Penn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Penn looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Geirsson is defending well. Penn quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Geirsson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Penn celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
