Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepe Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward comes to the cage accompanied by Spazz - Campaign For Emo Destruction. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Max Ward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pepe Perez!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Perez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ward.
Ward lands an overhand right.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ward paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ward takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Perez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Perez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ward.
Ward looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Perez tries to clinch there but Ward circles away.
Ward misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ward closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Perez throws a head kick that misses.
Ward changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perez tries to avoid it but Ward manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perez to the ground. Perez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ward shoots for a double leg takedown but Perez sprawls well. He's pushed Ward's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Perez tries to lock up and control but Ward gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Perez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ward kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ward scores with a one two! Perez had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

I think Perez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
