Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jared Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Puuha Pete! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerr shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pete shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pete showed some decent athleticism there. Kerr is looking for a sweep. Pete is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kerr trying to get back to full guard but Pete takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Kerr is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pete takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kerr is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kerr tries to lock up and control but Pete gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kerr is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pete is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Pete really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kerr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pete tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kerr tries to reverse the position but Pete maintains control. Kerr is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kerr is looking to get to half guard. Pete content just to control the position here. Kerr is working to get back to half guard.

Puuha Pete dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pete shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kerr is trying to defend but Pete finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Pete prevents Kerr from improving his position. Pete is thwarting Kerr's attempts to control the position. Kerr is looking for a sweep. Pete is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pete decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Kerr gets caught flat footed, as Pete shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr controls Pete momentarily but Pete frees himself. Kerr working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Pete has passed into half guard!

Pete escapes and throws Kerr's legs to the side, diving into side control! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pete staying calm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Let's hope that Pete has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kerr is looking for a sweep. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Puuha Pete showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Pete. Kerr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pete wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Pete trying to control the action but Kerr is working from the bottom. The referee asks Pete politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pete prefers to stall for the moment though. Kerr is looking for a sweep. Pete lands a few punches from side control. Kerr is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pete content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kerr wants to control but Pete postures up. Kerr tries to improve position but can't. Kerr manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kerr regains full guard. Nicely done. Pete wants to pass the guard but Kerr is keeping the position. Kerr doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pete manages to get himself to full guard.
Kerr drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pete looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pete looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pete! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kerr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pete wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Pete working away. Kerr is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kerr can't do much from the bottom here. The referee asks Pete politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pete prefers to stall for the moment though. Puuha Pete is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kerr is looking for a sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! Puuha Pete comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pete has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
