Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sean Falco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, JF K! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! K throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Falco shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in K's guard. K wants to stand and escape but Falco is having none of it. Falco is standing up over K. K looks to escape but Falco dives into side control.
K takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. K pushes Falco away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Falco gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Falco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Falco wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by K, who protects the arm well. K is pushing Falco's head away, looking to escape. Falco manages to hold on to the position though. Falco has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Falco is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. K moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Falco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? K is fending him off so far but Falco persists. Nope, K circles away and we're back to standing. K misses with a series of wild punches.

JF K is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Falco fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Falco takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
K throws a head kick that half lands.

K gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Falco accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Falco pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. K is keeping the position for now. Falco drops back looking for a leg! K is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and K manages to kick Falco off! Falco jumps back into K's guard. K is looking to stand up but Falco isn't so interested in that idea. Falco passes K's left leg - he's now in half guard. K is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Falco winds up and cracks K with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Falco takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
K throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. K tries to score with a low kick but Falco moves his leg out of the way. A swing and a miss from K. K throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Nice takedown defense from K. No joy for Falco on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Falco. That's going to take a lot out of him. K is looking to slow Falco down with leg kicks. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from K lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Falco has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Falco and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Falco fails with a takedown attempt. Falco avoids the head kick by K.
Falco shoots for a double leg takedown but K sprawls well. He's pushed Falco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. K tries to bum rush Falco with a series of wild strikes but Falco uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Good work by Falco as he checks the leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. K misses with a jab, cross combination.
Falco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Falco stands and throws K's legs to the side, diving into side control. Falco tries for a kimura but K is defending well. Falco is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, K has escaped the position, nice work there. Falco tries for a kimura but K is defending well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. K is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Falco has just dragged him back down to the mat. Falco is chipping away with strikes.

K stuffs the takedown. K scores with a kick to the body.
Falco takes a kick to the side of the head. K connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. K bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Falco's head backwards. K walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Falco checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. K feints and then cracks Falco's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Falco down. K tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. K throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Falco. Falco shoots for a takedown but K saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. K misses with a low kick.
K throws a sloppy head kick and Falco moves out of range easily. Falco looks for a takedown but K sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Falco. That's going to take a lot out of him. K misses with a low kick.

Falco shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. K wants to get back to his feet but Falco passes into half guard.

Falco is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. K knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. K is working to avoid the ground and pound but Falco connects with a decent elbow. That's two minutes gone in the round. Falco working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. K wants to get back to his feet. K tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Falco unloading with bombs! K really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Falco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Falco lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Falco jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but K manages to avoid the submission attempt. K wants to get back to his feet. Falco working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. K is not content to let Falco control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. K is trying to get back to his feet. Falco thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. K wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Falco has worked his way into a potential kimura here. K is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Falco yanks on the arm and K is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Falco.
