Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Guida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bullwinkle McPee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bullwinkle McPee will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Guida! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bullwinkle McPee! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from McPee misses its intended target. McPee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Guida moves away. Guida closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. McPee is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Guida asserts his dominance and retains side control. The strikes coming from Guida are missing the target in this wave of attacks. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guida sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McPee is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Guida throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Guida misses with the ground and pound. Guida fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Guida is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McPee has escaped the position, nice work there. Guida throws a strike aimed at the side of McPee's head but McPee avoids it well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Guida tries to move into range but McPee moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Guida shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McPee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Guida loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Guida postures up in McPee's guard and throws a big left but McPee blocks it. Guida throwing strikes but missing. Guida wants to pass the guard but McPee is keeping the position. Guida postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McPee is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Guida, into his guard. Guida has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McPee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Guida is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guida working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McPee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McPee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. McPee preventing the sweep. Guida is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McPee defends well. Guida looking for submissions from the bottom but instead McPee passes into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guida is looking to regain half guard here but McPee keeps moving and retains side control. Guida looks to move to half guard but instead McPee has passed into mount! Damn! Guida looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! You can see the frustration on Guida's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Guida is working hard here to advance position. McPee trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Guida shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McPee defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McPee misses with a looping right. Guida closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McPee did well to prevent Guida getting side control. Guida is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for McPee! Guida goes for an armbar but McPee turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McPee. McPee wants to stand but Guida has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Guida is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Guida looking for submissions from the bottom but instead McPee passes into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guida is trying to get back to half guard. Guida looks to move to half guard but instead McPee has passed into mount! Damn! Guida is looking to improve his position but McPee isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Guida tries to improve his position but instead McPee has taken his back! Guida tries to roll but McPee sticks to his back.
Guida breaks McPee's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
McPee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McPee scores with a jab to the body. McPee scores with a shot to the body.
McPee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Guida shoots in but McPee avoids the takedown attempt easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Guida is defended easily by McPee. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Guida. That's going to take a lot out of him. McPee lands an overhand right. McPee throws a right hand that Guida ducks under and follows up with a left that Guida also avoids with ease. Guida thows a left - swing and a miss! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Guida. McPee looks to land a combination but Guida avoids it well. McPee throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Guida avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Guida shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McPee is trying to defend but Guida finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Guida has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Guida lands a nice shot to the head. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Guida. Bullwinkle McPee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Guida moves out of range of the strikes. Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McPee connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Guida's hands. Guida fails with the takedown. Guida dives in and grabs McPee's left leg, looking for a takedown. McPee pushes down on Guida's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Guida. That's going to take a lot out of him. Guida shoots in for a takedown but McPee shows good takedown defense. Guida closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Guida on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. McPee scores with a nice right hand.
Guida shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McPee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Guida throws a strike but McPee rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Guida has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McPee is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Guida. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Guida clearly takes that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Guida shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McPee but McPee pushes him off and we're back to square one. McPee throws a jab when Guida was well out of range. Guida looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McPee is fending him off so far but Guida persists. Nope, McPee circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Guida. That's going to take a lot out of him. Guida changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McPee tries to avoid it but Guida manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McPee to the ground. McPee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. McPee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Guida moves out of range and avoids them all easily. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. McPee scores with a body shot.
Guida thows a body shot but no joy. McPee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Guida. McPee scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
That's one minute gone in the round. Guida closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McPee to the mat! McPee manages to get full guard. Guida missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Guida cracks McPee with a solid left hand. Guida throws a strike but McPee rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. McPee stopping the sweep attempt from Guida.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Guida has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. McPee doesn't defend quickly enough and Guida has managed to lock this one up! Can McPee escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Guida on a fantastic submission victory.
