Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mo Nus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mo Nus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn Griffin! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin tries to clinch but Nus moves out of range. Nus gets the takedown into side control. Griffin tries to improve position but can't. Nus tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Griffin throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nus just content to control the position. Griffin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Nus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Griffin, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nus is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Griffin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Nus is chipping away with strikes.
Griffin is looking for a sweep. Nus moves into full mount! Nus trying to control but Griffin is having none of it. Nus jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Griffin manages to avoid the submission attempt. Nus is breathing heavily. Nus goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Griffin rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Nus's guard! Nice work there by Griffin!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin is looking to stand up but Nus won't let him. Nus preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Nus wants to sweep here but Griffin controlling him for the moment. Griffin trying to control but Nus is working from the bottom. Griffin pushing down on Nus's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Griffin is looking to take a break and control but Nus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nus actively working from the bottom here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Griffin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nus counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nus tries to pass to full mount but Griffin defends it. Griffin is defending against the submission attempts here by Nus.
Nus slows the pace down in half guard. Nus wants to pass to mount but Griffin is defending the position. Nus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nus lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nus is looking for a kimura but Griffin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nus to get the leverage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nus wants to control but Griffin is keeping him busy. Nus seems to be working for a kimura but Griffin defends the submission attempt. Griffin tries to roll over but Nus keeps him under control. Griffin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Griffin is refusing to be controlled, as Nus sits in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mo Nus dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nus looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Nus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Nus wants to work for an arm triangle but Griffin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nus seems to be looking for submissions.
Nus is working for a submission of some sort.
Nus is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Griffin has managed to free his arm - good work. Griffin is breathing heavily. Griffin taking some punishment here, with Nus in his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nus is keen to just control but Griffin is a slippery customer. Nus wants to free his trapped foot but Griffin is holding on for dear life with his legs. Nus is working hard here to advance position. Nus seems to be looking for submissions.
Griffin tries to roll over but Nus keeps him under control. Griffin manages to get to full guard.
Griffin wants to sweep here but Nus controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Griffin trying to control the position.
Nus drops back looking for a leg! Griffin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Griffin manages to kick Nus off! Nus jumps back into Griffin's guard. Nus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nus scoring with punches to the head and body. Griffin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Griffin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nus's guard. Griffin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin looking to pass the guard. Griffin works a leg free and moves into half guard. Griffin is just content to waste time from the top position. Nus takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Nus working a defensive guard here.
Nus wants to sweep here but Griffin controlling him for the moment. Nus has his foot on Griffin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Griffin works his way back into a safe position though. Griffin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Nus looking for a sweep. Not yet Nus, not yet. Nus throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Griffin escapes and throws Nus's legs to the side, diving into side control! Nus is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Griffin's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nus actively working from the bottom here. Griffin decides to stand up. Nus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Griffin moves into the clinch. Nus tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Griffin smiles and moves away.
Griffin with a lazy takedown attempt and Nus counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nus wants to take a breather but Griffin is having none of it. Griffin gets full guard. Griffin looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Nus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mo Nus dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Nus drives through with a takedown into guard. Griffin has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Nus should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Griffin has tightened it up now! Nus should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
