Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Archie James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bibby Hilter!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Hilter is just out of range.
Archie James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
James misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hilter gets a clinch.
Hilter prevents the takedown attempt.
James goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hilter prevents it.
James has hold of one of Hilter's legs. Hilter is fighting the takedown attempt but James gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
James trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hilter's guard.
James wants to control from the top but Hilter keeps moving.
Hilter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. James defends it easily.
James is looking to work some ground and pound but Hilter has wrist control.
James working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hilter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hilter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from James.
That's one minute gone in the round.
James gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
James throws a right and a left that both miss.
James circles away from the clinch attempt.
James drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
James stands up.
James misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
James is breathing heavily.
A combination from James does no damage.
Hilter tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck with that takedown attempt from James.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Archie James. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hilter scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
James tries to clinch but Hilter is having none of it.
James takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Archie James has been cut.
Hilter drops James with a beautiful combination! James stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hilter is looking for the KO!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hilter looks to land a combination but James avoids it well.
Hilter moves into the clinch.
Hilter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hilter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
James tries to clinch up
and Hilter counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops James! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Hilter!
