Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cato Lown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Raid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cato Lown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ali Raid! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raid throws a hook to the side of Lown's head but Lown sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Lown slips a straight right by Raid. Raid throws a jab when Lown was well out of range. Raid misses with an uppercut. Raid loads up on a big right hand but Lown slips the punch. Lown slips under a jab. Raid misses with a wild body shot. Raid swinging wildly here.
Ali Raid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Raid misses. Lown looks for a takedown but Raid sprawls well. Raid throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Raid scores with a jab to the jaw. Raid swinging wildly here.
Raid is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Raid missing with a left hand there. Lown was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Raid lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lown circles away quickly and effectively. Raid bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lown's head backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lown bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Lown shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lown showed some decent athleticism there. Lown is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Raid is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Lown controlling from mount. Lown seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Raid is holding on tight.
Raid is looking to get to half guard. Lown has hold of Raid's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Raid manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lown trying to control but he's not successful this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raid can do anything to dispel that myth. Raid is looking to improve his position but Lown isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lown wants to finish this one by submission but Raid is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lown. Raid working to try and regain half guard.
Lown jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Raid manages to avoid the submission attempt. Lown is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Raid throws a series of punches but Lown moves out of range. Lown tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The crowd cheers as Raid lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lown doesn't seem phased though. Lown shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lown prevents Raid from standing back up.
Raid wants to get back to full guard. Raid pushes Lown off looking to stand but Lown dives back in and keeps control.
Raid wants to improve his position but Lown is controlling well.
Raid has a hand on Lown's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Lown takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Raid is wriggling around trying to escape.

Cato Lown dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Raid paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A head kick misses from Raid. Raid throws an overhand right that lands on Lown's shoulder, as Lown tries to avoid the shot. Raid misses with a looping right. A big left from Raid misses. Cato Lown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lown dodges the punch combination from Raid.
Lown takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Raid misses with a looping right. Raid throws a big shot that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Raid thows a left - swing and a miss! Lown drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Raid tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raid is breathing heavily. Lown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Raid keeps working. Raid pushes Lown away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lown gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Lown looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. You can see the frustration on Raid's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Raid cracks Lown with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Lown slips a jab from Raid. Lown fails with an attempt to clinch.
Raid throws a jab but it's blocked by Lown. Raid missing with a left hand there. Lown was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Raid listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Nice uppercut lands for Raid. That snapped Lown's head back.
Raid looks to throw the jab but Lown is out of range. Raid throws a hook but Lown blocks it. Raid is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lown. Lown ducks under a wild hook from Raid. Lown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Lown working for a guillotine from mount but Raid is in no mood to give up.

Raid is desperately trying to improve his position but Lown has a good base and remains in mount. Lown sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Lown is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Raid has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lown unloads with some shots from mount but Raid bucks and avoids them well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Raid is wriggling around trying to escape.

Raid looks to land a right hand but Lown moved out of range. Raid throws a hook but Lown avoids it easily. Lown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Raid but Raid pushes him off and we're back to square one. Raid jabbing away but nothing is landing. Raid throws a shot from downtown. Lown moves away and avoids it. Raid throws an overhand right that lands on Lown's shoulder, as Lown tries to avoid the shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lown gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Raid wants to break the clinch but can't.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Raid tries to break free but Lown pushes him back against the cage. Lown tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Raid smiles and moves away.

Raid throws a big shot that misses. A telegraphed right hand from Raid misses the target. Raid uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Lown defending well as Raid loads up on a big left hand. Raid connects with a right hand. Lown shakes it off. Raid misses with a series of wild punches.
Raid throws a looping overhand right but Lown ducks down to avoid it. Raid jabbing away but nothing is landing. Lown takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Lown throws a leg kick but Raid sees it coming and checks it nicely. Ali Raid has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lown scores a takedown into full mount! Lown looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Raid tries to reverse the position but Lown maintains control. Lown working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Raid is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

And that's the end of the fight! Cato Lown showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lown, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
