Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vadim Leonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Easton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonov comes to the cage accompanied by Red october. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Easton!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Easton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Easton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leonov was well out of range. Poor timing from Easton.
Mark Easton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Easton wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Leonov shoots in and drives through. Easton sprawls well.
Easton throws a series of punches but Leonov moves out of range.
Leonov slips under a jab.
Easton lands a with a good body shot.
Leonov is breathing heavily.
Easton lands a really nice looking cross but Leonov seems unphased.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Easton takes the fight into the clinch.
Leonov tries to pull guard but Easton won't allow it.

Easton pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Leonov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Easton fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Easton looks to land a right hand but Leonov moved out of range.

Leonov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Easton throws out the jab.

Easton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Leonov, pushing him back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Easton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Easton tries a knee to the head but Leonov blocks it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Leonov. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Leonov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Easton gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Leonov tries to score a body lock takedown but Easton shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Easton tries a knee to the head but Leonov blocks it.
Leonov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Easton pulls his leg out and moves away.
Easton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Easton lands a right hook to the body.

Easton is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Leonov rather than just go for the knockout.

Easton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Leonov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Leonov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Easton.
Easton throws out a leg kick but Leonov moves out of range and Easton only half commits.
Easton lands with a shot to the body.
Leonov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Easton scores with a sloppy right hand. Leonov should have avoided that one.

Leonov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Leonov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Easton.
Easton lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Vadim Leonov has been cut.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Easton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Leonov's hands.
Easton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Leonov.
Easton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Leonov has a takedown stuffed.
Leonov keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Leonov shoots in but no luck this time.
Easton missing with a left hand there. Leonov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Easton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Leonov tries to clinch there but Easton circles away.
Leonov ducks under a wild hook from Easton.
Easton lands a jab to Leonov's midsection.
Leonov moves out of range of the strikes.
Easton has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Leonov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Leonov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Leonov is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Easton has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Leonov lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Leonov punching from mount but Easton doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Leonov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Easton is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Easton and Leonov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Leonov goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Easton rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Leonov's guard! Nice work there by Easton!

Easton stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Leonov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Leonov moves forwards but Easton connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Leonov shoots in looking for a takedown. Easton tries to sprawl out of it but Leonov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Easton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Easton lands a jab to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Easton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Easton. Leonov does a little dance to reset his feet.

Leonov clinches.
Easton gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Leonov.

Leonov gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Easton regains guard.
Easton wants to get back to his feet but Leonov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Leonov trying to control but Easton is working from the bottom.

Easton scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Easton throws a jab when Leonov was well out of range.
Easton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Leonov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Easton as he jumps to the side.

Easton lands a nice looking body shot.
Leonov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Easton throws the left hand but Leonov avoids the punch easily.
Easton throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Easton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Easton throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Leonov moves out of range as Easton strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Easton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Easton misses with an uppercut. Leonov saw that one coming.
Easton throws a nice looking combination but Leonov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Easton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


A big left from Easton misses.
Easton throws a hook but Leonov blocks it.
The fighters circling - Easton throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Easton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Leonov shoots in and drives through. Easton sprawls well.
Leonov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Easton is fending him off so far but Leonov persists. Nope, Easton circles away and we're back to standing.

and Leonov counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Leonov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Easton takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Leonov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Easton has managed to free his arm - good work.

Leonov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Leonov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Leonov is working for a submission of some sort.
Easton won't allow Leonov to pass to mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Leonov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Leonov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Easton is trying to stand up here but Leonov is controlling him well.

Leonov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Easton defends it well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Leonov connects with a nice short shot to Easton's temple.

Easton is defending against the submission attempts here by Leonov.

Leonov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mark Easton is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Leonov stops Easton from getting back to his feet.
Leonov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Leonov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Easton is defending against the submission attempts here by Leonov.
