Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kriz Naiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tix Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tix Pain will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kriz Naiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tix Pain! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pain shoots for a takedown but Naiz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Pain tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Pain fails with a takedown attempt from distance. No luck for Pain with that takedown attempt. Kriz Naiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tix Pain. Pain shoots in but no luck this time. The fighters circling - Naiz throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pain is defended easily by Naiz. Naiz moves into the clinch successfully.
Naiz lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Naiz winds up and cracks Pain with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Pain has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Naiz is working away from the top position though. Naiz not landing any meaningful shots this time. Naiz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Naiz is trying to control. Pain wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain is trying to get back to full guard. Naiz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pain's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pain shoots in but Naiz avoids the takedown attempt easily. Naiz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Naiz swivels and escapes. Some wild striking there from Naiz.
Pain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Naiz's waist but Naiz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pain off to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A looping hook to the body misses from Naiz. Pain does a little dance to reset his feet. Naiz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pain's guard. Pain is looking for a triangle but Naiz pushes his legs off easily.
Naiz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pain keeping full guard, as Naiz tries to pass. Naiz sitting in guard here, content to control. Pain looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Naiz trying to control the position from guard on top but Pain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Naiz won't allow Pain to sweep him here. Pain preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Naiz stays in close to Pain's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Naiz manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Naiz pulls Pain in to control the position. Naiz throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Pain trying to control but Naiz is working from the bottom. Pain forces his way into half guard. Pain seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Naiz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pain should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Naiz wants to get back to full guard. Pain is trying to work for a kimura but Naiz is defending well.

Pain looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Naiz is pressing down on Pain's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Naiz is controlling Pain's posture. Pain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Naiz is keeping the position for now. Pain advances position into side control! Pain is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Naiz has escaped the position, nice work there. Naiz holds on to Pain's head and controls the position momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kriz Naiz dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Naiz moves into the clinch. Pain is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Naiz pulls him back up using the underhooks. Naiz turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Naiz manages to end up in side control. Naiz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pain keeps working. Naiz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pain can't do much from the bottom here. Naiz working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Pain tries to buck Naiz off but Naiz is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pain wants to control but Naiz postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Naiz wants to control but Pain is keeping him busy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Naiz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pain goes for a takedown in the clinch but Naiz prevents it.

Pain drops down looking for an ankle pick but Naiz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Naiz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Naiz. Naiz scoring with punches to the head and body. Pain working a defensive guard here.
Pain might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Naiz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Naiz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Naiz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pain works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Naiz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Naiz trying to control but Pain is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Naiz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pain has his takedown stuffed so Naiz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Naiz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Naiz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pain tries to land a sweep but no joy. Naiz passes Pain's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pain gets full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Naiz sitting in guard, not really doing much. Naiz throwing strikes from guard but Pain blocks nicely. Pain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pain controls Naiz momentarily but Naiz frees himself. Kriz Naiz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Naiz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pain is keeping the position for now. Pain trying to keep a closed guard but Naiz is proving a slippery customer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pain doesn't succeed with the takedown and Naiz counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Pain has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Naiz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Pain jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Naiz walks away with a smile on his face. Pain gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Naiz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Pain has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Naiz is working away from the top position though. Pain is not content to let Naiz control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pain moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Naiz wants to control from the top but Pain keeps moving. Pain is looking for a triangle but Naiz pushes his legs off easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pain doesn't succeed with the takedown and Naiz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Naiz is nestled in close to Pain, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Pain makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Naiz tries to free his leg and advance position but Pain is retaining full guard. Pain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Naiz's guard. Naiz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pain thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pain is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Naiz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Naiz has escaped and now he's on top! Naiz wants to pass the guard but Pain is keeping the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Kriz Naiz showed his dominance in that final round. Well Naiz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
