Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Battaglia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Callaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sammy Battaglia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marc Callaway! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callaway looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Battaglia closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Callaway breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Callaway shoots for a takedown but Battaglia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Battaglia could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Nice body kick from Battaglia. Callaway looks gassed! Battaglia closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Battaglia decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Callaway shoots and misses and Battaglia counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sammy Battaglia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Callaway. Battaglia is controlling the pace.
Callaway is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Battaglia scores with a couple of nice shots. Battaglia is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Battaglia is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Battaglia looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Callaway pushes Battaglia off and gets back to his feet. Battaglia scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Battaglia stands up. Callaway gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Callaway is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Battaglia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Battaglia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Battaglia throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Callaway works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Battaglia won't allow Callaway to get back to his feet. Callaway keeping full guard, as Battaglia tries to pass. Callaway has his foot on Battaglia's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Battaglia works his way back into a safe position though. Battaglia passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Battaglia controlling the action here. Callaway is staying active underneath Battaglia, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Battaglia looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Battaglia trying to control from Callaway's half guard. Callaway has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Callaway wants to sweep here but Battaglia controlling him for the moment. Battaglia trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Callaway is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Callaway is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Callaway wants to free his trapped foot but Battaglia is holding on for dear life with his legs. Callaway wants to stand up but Battaglia is controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Battaglia wants to improve his position but Callaway is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sammy Battaglia dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Battaglia rushes Callaway and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Battaglia tries to pull guard but Callaway won't allow it.
Battaglia is trying to maintain a safe position but Callaway gets an underhook and turns Battaglia into the cage. Callaway gets control of Battaglia's arms and successfully pulls guard. Callaway will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Callaway looking to hit a scissor sweep but Battaglia is one step ahead there. Battaglia gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Callaway has his takedown stuffed and Battaglia counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Callaway is looking to control Battaglia's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Callaway avoid being mounted? Battaglia is looking to take a break and control but Callaway is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Callaway manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Battaglia throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Battaglia prevents Callaway from getting back to his feet. Battaglia trying to control the position from guard on top but Callaway is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Battaglia won't allow Callaway to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Battaglia is stalling in the full guard. Callaway kicks Battaglia off and gets to his feet. Callaway doesn't succeed with the takedown and Battaglia counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Callaway's guard now. Callaway keeping moving, preventing Battaglia from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Callaway wants to stand up but Battaglia is controlling him. Callaway has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Battaglia can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Callaway is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Battaglia trying to control but Callaway is working from the bottom. Callaway is looking to stand up but Battaglia isn't so interested in that idea. Battaglia trying to stand up but can't free himself from Callaway's guard. Battaglia wants to pass the guard but Callaway is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Callaway gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Battaglia preventing the sweep. Callaway wants to stand and escape but Battaglia is having none of it. Callaway trying to control the position.
Battaglia stands and throws Callaway's legs to the side, diving into side control. Battaglia wants to control for a moment but Callaway uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Battaglia looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sammy Battaglia dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Callaway throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Callaway gets caught flat footed, as Battaglia shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Callaway is looking to stand up but Battaglia isn't so interested in that idea. Battaglia working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Callaway's head. Battaglia gets to his feet. Callaway looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Callaway with a poor takedown and Battaglia counters with a shoot takedown. Callaway fights it but they end up in guard. Callaway manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Battaglia is desperately trying to improve his position but Callaway has a good base and remains in mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Battaglia throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Callaway with the ground and pound from mount. Battaglia tries to hold on but Callaway pushes him away. Callaway throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Callaway has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Battaglia's face.
Battaglia tries to hold on but Callaway postures up. Callaway punching from mount but Battaglia doing a good job of avoiding damage. Callaway working Battaglia over with strikes here. Battaglia tries to lock up and control but Callaway gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Battaglia tries to get back to half guard but can't. Battaglia is working hard here to advance position. Callaway throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Battaglia is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Callaway unloads with some shots from mount but Battaglia bucks and avoids them well.

Callaway looking to finish Battaglia with some ground and pound. This is bad for Battaglia! Callaway landing strikes from the mount. Marc Callaway has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Battaglia is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Callaway swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
