Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake York (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sascha Golobew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jake York! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sascha Golobew! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! York dives in and grabs Golobew's left leg, looking for a takedown. Golobew pushes down on York's head and hops out. York looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Golobew decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Golobew trying to control from half guard but York is working away. Golobew missing with the ground and pound from half guard. York is not content to let Golobew control the position. Golobew is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Golobew wants to take a breather but York is having none of it. Golobew is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Golobew is looking for a kimura but York is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Golobew to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Golobew frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Golobew dominating with strikes here. Golobew is working for a guillotine from mount but York frees his head quite easily.

York really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Golobew is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. York defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. York is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Golobew gets his way!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. York can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Golobew controls the pace. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Golobew tries to free his leg and advance position but York is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Golobew passes York's right leg, so he's now in half guard. York taking some punishment here, with Golobew in his half guard. Golobew is looking to take a break and control but York is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sascha Golobew showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Golobew catches York with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Golobew closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. York is refusing to be controlled, as Golobew sits in half guard. Golobew is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and York defends it well. Golobew trying to mount his opponent but York defends it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Golobew throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Golobew connects with a nice looking jab.
Jake York seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Golobew drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Golobew is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

And that's the end of the fight! Sascha Golobew comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Golobew has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
