Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Jordan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marco Rivera! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rivera looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Rivera wanted to stand there but Jordan had control of the position. Rivera looking to pass the guard. Rivera won't allow Jordan to get back to his feet. Jordan keeping moving, preventing Rivera from controlling successfully. Rivera trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jordan wants to get back to his feet but Rivera is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rivera scoring with some ground and pound. Rivera preventing the sweep.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jordan throws a series of punches but Rivera avoids them all with ease. Jordan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rivera will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jordan wants to clinch up but Rivera keeps it at a distance. Jordan is breathing heavily. Rivera tries for a takedown but Jordan circles away easily and Jordan counters with a single leg into guard. Rivera didn't expect that. Jordan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rivera on the ground. Rivera is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jordan wants to stand and escape but instead Rivera has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Rivera working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Jordan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rivera's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rivera makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rivera trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rivera has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rivera stands up and waves to Jordan to follow him. Jordan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Jordan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jordan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rivera really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Rivera regains half guard. Still in half guard, Jordan seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jordan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Jordan prevents Rivera from improving his position. Jordan wants to stand up but Rivera is controlling the position.
Rivera is trying to get back to full guard. Jordan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jordan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rivera is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rivera wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Rivera shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rivera showed some decent athleticism there. Jordan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jordan. Jordan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rivera controlling from the top position. Rivera pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jordan is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Frank Jordan will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jordan throws a series of punches but Rivera avoids them all with ease. The fighters circling - Jordan throws out the jab but it was never going to land. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jordan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rivera - the referee stops the clock and Jordan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rivera. Jordan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Jordan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rivera slips a jab and a cross from Jordan.
Rivera with a lazy takedown attempt and Jordan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Rivera misses with a hook. Jordan is looking to clinch but Rivera is avoiding it.
Jordan stuffs the takedown attempt from Rivera. Rivera gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jordan keeps the fight on the outside. Rivera slips a jab and a cross from Jordan.
Rivera is breathing heavily. Rivera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Frank Jordan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Rivera.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jordan misses with a wild combination.
Jordan throws a series of strikes that have Rivera backpedaling.
Jordan's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jordan duly obliges. Frank Jordan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jordan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jordan controlling from mount. Rivera is looking to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jordan trying to control but Rivera is having none of it. Rivera sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rivera is looking to control Jordan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rivera avoid being mounted? Rivera is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jordan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jordan's back! Jordan is keeping busy.
Jordan trying to control the hands but Rivera won't let him. Rivera looking to hold on to the position here but Jordan rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Jordan wants to stand and escape but Rivera is having none of it. Jordan has a closed guard, preventing Rivera from standing up. Jordan is looking to stand up but Rivera isn't so interested in that idea.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jordan gets off balance looking for a body kick and Rivera counters by clinching up. Jordan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Jordan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Rivera escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rivera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jordan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rivera! Jordan controlling his opponent. Jordan trying to control but Rivera is having none of it. Jordan controlling his opponent. Rivera wants to hold on but Jordan pushes him away.

Rivera is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rivera wants to get back to his feet.

Frank Jordan dominated that second round. That's time! Jordan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Jordan has a takedown stuffed. Jordan moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Rivera wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Rivera shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Rivera forces Jordan back against the cage and clinches. Rivera lands a nice knee to the body. Jordan takes an elbow to the temple. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rivera drags the fight down to the ground.
Rivera avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rivera has his foot on Jordan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jordan works his way back into a safe position though. Jordan gets to his feet. Rivera looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Rivera moves in looking to clinch but Jordan pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jordan lands a head kick that stumbles Rivera and the fighters go to the mat.
It looks like Marco Rivera has been cut. Jordan stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jordan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Jordan lands an overhand right. Rivera with a lazy takedown attempt and Jordan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rivera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Marco Rivera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jordan throws a jab when Rivera was well out of range. Rivera tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jordan swivels and escapes. Rivera tries for a takedown but Jordan circles away easily and Jordan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rivera's guard. Frank Jordan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Rivera. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jordan wanted to stand there but Rivera had control of the position. Jordan looking to sit in guard and control but Rivera gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jordan seems keen to control Rivera's posture. Frank Jordan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rivera wants to stand and escape but instead Jordan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Jordan stands up from Rivera's guard - Jordan perhaps looking for a knockout. Rivera tries to clinch up. Rivera scores with a shot to the body.
Jordan finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rivera lands a jab to the head.
Jordan misses with the combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jordan moves in looking to clinch but Rivera pushes him off. Rivera shoots in and bounces Jordan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jordan is rocked! Rivera scoring with some ground and pound. Oh Jordan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Rivera seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rivera stands and throws Jordan's legs to the side, diving into side control. Rivera has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Jordan misses with a double jab
and Rivera moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rivera content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Rivera jumps guard and drags Jordan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Rivera had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jordan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rivera Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jordan's back instead. Jordan grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Rivera looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Rivera has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Jordan is in real trouble here. Rivera gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Jordan is tapping out! Rivera wins by rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marco Rivera!
