The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fushibenda pinned against the cage. Fushibenda gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sims tries for a takedown but Fushibenda sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sims looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fushibenda is fending him off so far but Sims persists. Nope, Fushibenda circles away and we're back to standing.
Jake Fushibenda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Sims.
Fushibenda throws out a loose jab but Sims uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sims shoots for a double leg takedown but Fushibenda sprawls well. He's pushed Sims's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fushibenda looks to land a body kick but Sims moved away.
Sims shoots in looking for a takedown. Fushibenda tries to sprawl out of it but Sims keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fushibenda manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fushibenda defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sims.

Sims moves away from the strike by Fushibenda.
Fushibenda misses with a hook. Sims ducked under it nicely.
Fushibenda throws the left hand but Sims avoids the punch easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fushibenda stuffs the takedown.

Ray Sims seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fushibenda postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sims looks a forlorn figure.

Fushibenda is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Sims is forced to tap! Great finish!
