Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rhett Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Transplants - Romper Stomper. Rhett Hart has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rhett Hart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Green! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hart lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Green circles away quickly and effectively. Hart misses with a series of wild punches.
Hart takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hart fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Green manages to avoid it. Hart tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Green was well out of range. Poor timing from Hart. Green scores with a nice strike. Green jabs at Hart's body. Hart throws a series of punches but Green avoids them all with ease. The fighters circle momentarily. Green darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Hart takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Green has closed the distance and engaged Hart in a clinch.
Hart is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Green stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Hart is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Green controlling the action here for a moment.
Green tightens his grip and picks Hart up, before dumping him to the ground. Hart manages to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Green in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hart avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Green postures up and lands a big shot to Hart's brow. Green postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green wants to pass the guard but Hart is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green prevents Hart from getting back to his feet. Green is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Green won't allow Hart to sweep him here. Hart tries to strike from the bottom.
Green sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hart's guard. Green looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hart with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hart tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg. Green is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hart reverses the position - he's now on top in Green's guard. Green controls Hart momentarily but Hart frees himself. Green keeping moving, preventing Hart from controlling successfully. Green not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hart won't allow Green to sweep him here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Green scores with a sloppy right hand. Hart should have avoided that one. Hart has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. The fighters circling - Hart throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Green fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hart sprawls well initially but Green persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Green winds up and cracks Hart with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Green wants to control but Hart is keeping him busy. Green thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hart's head. Hart wants to get back to full guard. Hart wants to control but Green is keeping busy.

Green would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hart lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Green!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green gets back to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Green can do anything to dispel that myth. Hart looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hart seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Green trying to hold on to Hart's head to control him but Hart postures up.
Hart wants to free his trapped foot but Green is holding on for dear life with his legs. Green is trying is best to control the position here. Green tries to kick Hart off but Hart keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Green gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Green tries to land a sweep but no joy. Green is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hart throwing strikes but missing. Green has his hands on Hart's head, controlling the position. Green pushes Hart off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Green moves into the clinch. Green pushes Hart back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Hart tries to score a body lock takedown but Green shows good agility there to stay on his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hart has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Green is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rhett Hart. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hart is breathing heavily. Nice body punch from Green. Green throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. A right hook to the body lands for Green.

Charlie Green dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Green scores with the left hand. Hart knows he should have avoided that one. A shot to the body from Hart misses and Green counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Green has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Green is pressed up against the cage. Hart has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Green down to the mat. Green avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Green instigates a clinch. A right hand to the body from Green.
Hart is trying to drag Green to the mat but Green just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Green cracks Hart with a nice body shot. Green digs a right hand underneath Hart's ribcage. Hart let out a lung full of air as it connected. A short uppercut from Green. Green working some nice short punches in the clinch. Green lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Hart or not. Green scores with a hook to the body. Green is leaning against Hart and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Green lands on the inside with an uppercut. Green gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hart regains guard.
Green must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Green landing some decent shots from guard. Green passes into half guard. Hart wants to get back to full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Green is pressing down on Hart's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hart is holding on for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Green frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Green pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Green raining down shots from the mount! Hart might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Green is landing with some decent strikes but Hart is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Hart really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Hart is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Green's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Green's back! And that's the end of the fight! Charlie Green comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Green has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
