The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Baker as he jumps to the side.
Jefferson gets caught flat footed, as Baker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jefferson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Jefferson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Baker controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Baker shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jefferson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Baker wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving.

Jefferson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jefferson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonny Jefferson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jefferson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Baker will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Baker is looking for a sweep.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jefferson closes the distance and clinches up with Baker, looking for a takedown. Jefferson pushes Baker against the cage but Baker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Baker rushes Jefferson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Baker has Jefferson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Baker pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jefferson tumbling to the mat - Baker dives into Jefferson's guard.

Jefferson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Baker's head.
Jefferson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jefferson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
