Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Brisbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chance Brisbell! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A chopping leg kick lands by Lee. Brisbell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No joy there for Lee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lee avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lee has managed to clinch.
Brisbell has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Lee could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Brisbell tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lee just stands there and leans against the cage. Brisbell pressing his opponent against the cage. Brisbell is looking to break free of the clinch but Lee has double underhooks. A nice left hand lands by Lee.

It looks like Chance Brisbell has been cut. Lee keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Brisbell's efforts to push away. A short right hand to the side of the head by Lee. Lee takes a shot to the head. Brisbell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brisbell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Joe Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee throws a series of strikes that have Brisbell backpedaling.
A combination from Brisbell does no damage. Brisbell throws a looping overhand right but Lee ducks down to avoid it. Nice jab there from Brisbell. Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Brisbell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Brisbell lands a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee tries to bum rush Brisbell with a series of wild strikes but Brisbell uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Brisbell tries to keep at a distance but Lee has taken the fight into the clinch. Lee pushes Brisbell back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Brisbell goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lee instigates a clinch. Brisbell is trying to break the clinch but Lee is controlling him. Brisbell is working for takedown but Lee is calmly controlling the position for now. Joe Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chance Brisbell.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brisbell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A left hand lands to the body for Brisbell.

Lee throws a nice looking combination but Brisbell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Brisbell has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Brisbell wants to break free but Lee has control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee scores with a shoulder strike. Brisbell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lee gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Lee is pressed up against the cage. Brisbell has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lee down to the mat. Lee avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Lee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lee is looking to clinch. Brisbell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Brisbell looks gassed! Brisbell misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lee tries to clinch up but Brisbell circles away and keeps his distance. Lee showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brisbell.
Joe Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Brisbell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brisbell somewhat. Brisbell fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee tries to clinch but Brisbell is having none of it. Brisbell throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Brisbell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lee.
Brisbell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lee throws a left and a right that both miss

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lee closes the distance and clinches. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lee as Brisbell tries to tie him up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Lee dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chance Brisbell's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Lee keeps the fight on the outside. Lee cracks Brisbell with an open hand slap. Joe Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lee lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Brisbell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lee. Brisbell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brisbell lands in his opponent's guard. Brisbell trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brisbell on the ground. Brisbell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Brisbell thows a big elbow that misses. Lee is controlling Brisbell's posture. Brisbell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee wants to get back to his feet but Brisbell is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Brisbell drops Lee with a beautiful combination! Lee stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Brisbell is looking for the KO!
It looks like Joe Lee has been cut. Brisbell shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense. Lee wants to clinch. A jab from Brisbell does it's job there. Brisbell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brisbell is looking for a kimura but Lee is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brisbell to get the leverage.

Lee is refusing to be controlled, as Brisbell sits in half guard. Brisbell takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brisbell decides to return to a standing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brisbell throws a body punch but Lee moves out of range. Lee tries to land a leg kick but Brisbell saw it coming and moves away.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lee tries to get out of the position. Lee blocking the ground and pound attempt from Brisbell. Brisbell seems to be working for a kimura but Lee defends the submission attempt. Brisbell stalling.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lee moves in looking to clinch but Brisbell pushes him off. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Decent striking displayed by Brisbell there. Brisbell looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Chance Brisbell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
