Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Kings!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lucas Luck!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luck has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kings looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Luck just leaning against Kings, taking a breather.
Kings leaning his opponent against the cage.

Luck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kings fails with a takedown attempt.

Kings rushes Luck and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kings jumps guard but Luck stands there with Kings around his waist. Kings gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Luck avoiding damage.
Luck takes a knee to the side of the body.
Luck fails to pull guard.

Kings drags the fight down to the ground.

Luck stands up from Kings's guard - Luck perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kings closes this distance looking for a takedown but Luck circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Kings. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Luck has his takedown stuffed

so Kings counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Luck keeping moving, preventing Kings from controlling successfully.

Kings stands and steps away. Luck gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Kings is looking to clinch.
Kings circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kings counters with a left and a right that stings Luck.

Kings has managed to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kings is trying to break free.
Good body shot from Luck.
Luck has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Luck is trying to break free.

Luck escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Luck has closed the distance and engaged Kings in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Luck's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kings misses with a body kick.
Luck doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kings counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Luck looks gassed!
Kings is trying to control the action in half guard but Luck is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kings lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Luck is pressing down on Kings's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kings is stalling in the full guard.
Kings wants to pass the guard but Luck is keeping the position.
Kings trying to control but Luck is working from the bottom.
Luck is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kings stopping the sweep attempt from Luck.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kings tries to stand but Luck is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Luck is pulling down on Kings's head. It's preventing any offense from Kings, at least for the moment.
Kings stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Luck swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kings tries to clinch

and Luck counters with a nice double leg into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Will Kings dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Luck misses with an uppercut. Kings saw that one coming.
Luck has his takedown stuffed
and Kings counters with a solid body kick.
Luck misses with a takedown attempt

and Kings counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Kings stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Luck to get to his feet.
A right-left combo lands from Kings.
Kings fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kings bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kings working away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Luck is trying to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kings gets to mount! Luck was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Luck tries to reverse the position but Kings maintains control.
Kings content just to control the position here.
Luck is trying to escape the mount.
Kings tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Luck tries to reverse the position but Kings maintains control.
Kings lands a nice shot to the head.
Kings trying to control but Luck is having none of it.
Luck slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Kings decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Kings bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Luck wants to control but Kings postures up.
Kings throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Kings swings around for an armbar but Luck sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kings's guard.
Kings keeping moving, preventing Luck from controlling successfully.
Luck is fighting to break Kings's control of his arms but Kings is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kings throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Luck is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kings is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kings has escaped and now he's on top!

Kings controlling from the top position.
Kings looking to pass the guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Will Kings dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Kings throws a body kick that misses.
Luck fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kings is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Luck's half guard.
Luck is trying to stand up here but Kings is controlling him well.
Luck is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Kings is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Luck is surviving well by controlling Kings's body position as best he can.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Luck can't escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Luck throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Luck slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Luck is looking to improve his position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kings lands a nice short elbow.
Kings throws a strike but Luck avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Luck seems keen to control Kings's posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Luck looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Luck looking for subs off his back but Kings has passed one foot through into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Luck is looking to improve his position.

Kings is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Luck sees it coming and defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Luck trying to control from the bottom.
Luck makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Luck.
Kings won't allow Luck to sweep him here.

Kings avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Luck is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kings defends well.
Luck trying to keep a closed guard but Kings is proving a slippery customer.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Luck throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kings uses it to pass to side control.
Lucas Luck has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Will Kings is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Kings tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Will Kings showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kings has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
